Peaceful thanks and tutorial

It's finally FRIDAY! ANd I have another simple card for you today. I again used Peaceful Petals set from the occasions mini and again I had an accident. I stamped the image on water color paper and colored it using markers and blender pen. There is video tutorial on the bottom of this post. I used Strawberry Slush and Blushing bride for the flower and Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz for the stem, the center of the flower is colored using Crushed Curry, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie.
So I cut the image using the deco label framelits and wanted to stamp the sentiment, and the sentiment didn't stamp correctly, I had half sentiment in nice black and the other half was just a I cut out the image and then cut another label, but before I cut it I stamped the sentiment to make sure it stamps fine.
The die I did the Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla panels are not Stampin' Up!. They are from Mama Elephant.
I popped the flower with dimensionals and then the label with dimensionals to add some nice effect. Then I popped the whole Crumb Cake panel with dimensionals.

I used some linen thread and pearls to embellish my card.

Scroll down for the tutorial.

Almost perfect laughter

Hi all, all day I keep thinking that it's Friday....sadly it's not. Well, at least is the day before Friday.
Anyway....this card came to be better than I planned. I started with the piece of watercolor paper that I stamped the flowers on the two corners and then colored with stampin' write markers, blender pen and aqua, the fun part began.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the panel....then went to mount it on some Soft Sky card stock and the ink got smeared all over...So...I had to find a solution to save the card and not throw away piece that was nicely I decided to stamp the sentiment on watercolor paper again, then used heat tool to dry it and then using the label collection framelits I cut it out and popped it with dimensionals to the panel. I think it came out perfect.
Then I mounted the whole panel onto Crumb Cake card base,.

I will do a video in the next few days for watercoloring with markers, blender pen and aqua painter.

Peaceful Petals

Happy Wednesday!
Last night I finally made few cards using images I watercolored over the weekend, and here's the first one. I used Peaceful Petals and Lots of Thanks.
I stamped the flowers and leaves on watercolor paper and colored them using the following marker colors: strawberry slush, blushing bride, old olive, pear pizzazz and aqua painter. Then I cut them out.
I cut a 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" piece of Very Vanilla card stock and adhered 1" strip of Modern Medley dsp towards the bottom. Then layered is on 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Basic black card stock. Using Jet Black Staz on I stamped the sentiment and tied some Linen Thread.
To add dimension and interest to the card I popped the flower and leaves using Dimensionals.
At the end I mounted the panel to Strawberry Slush base.

For the birds

Happy Monday!
Since I don't have anything new for you today I am sharing an older card. I watercolored bunch of images this week and planned to make bunch of cards, but my 2 yr old ended up sick. I took her today to the pediatrician and she has double ear infection and strep....oh joy...poor little Anna is miserable.

Now, about the card, I used the set: I can't think of the name now (I will edit the post to add the dsp name -retired now, and the stamp set.)

I like the simple layout of the card and the strips of dsp.
The image is stamped with staz on in jet black on watercolor paper and then colored using re-inkers and aqua painter. I LOVE LOVE watercoloring.

February Paper Pumpkin

I had the day off yesterday from work, so I took the day off from blogging, too. As Sean and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. Our anniversary is not till Monday, but we celebrated it yesterday as Sean is attending some conference on Monday and Tuesday....we didn't do anything fancy, we went out to lunch and then watched Frozen while the girls were at daycare.

Anyway, today I have the February Paper pumpkin project. The kit provides Pistachio Pudding ink spot, but I used Calypso Coral and made a Love gift bag.

In this month's paper pumpkin you get supplies to make FIVE of these gift bags and you can spell pretty much anything you want, but for the first one I decided to do "LOVE" :)

Hoppy Easter

It's the last work day of this week for me today! Yay!
Today I have a little card to share with you. Well it's not that little, it's a note card. I used the Whisper White note cards for the base, As well  I used the Calypso Coral Celebrations Add on kit (the dsp and the labels). On the half circle label I stamped the cute little bunny from Eggstra Spectacular set from the Occasions mini catalog. I colored the bunny using Smokey Shadow and Calypso coral ink pads and blender pen.
I stamped the sentiment below the half circle label.
And tied some white bakery twine.

When I am with you

Hi everyone!
Here's another For the birds card. I really like how this one came out!
I started with a Basic Gray card base. Then added a Basic Gray layer that I embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. I popped this layer using dimensionals. It really gives some depth to the card! I do this often.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper with staz-on jet black ink and then using the Apotechary labels framelits I cut it out. You will notice that the label is smaller than the die. I cut it and lined it up to one edge and cut it, then slided the piece down and cut the other edge to size. I will need to take picture to show you how I make the smaller size label or make a short video.
I used ink pads and aqua painter to color the image. Then added some I am me dsp and some calypso coral bakery twine.

Birthday Wishes

It's Tuesday! This week will be short work week, as I am taking Friday off from work so Sean and I can celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary.

For today I have another simple card that I made. I combined 3 stamp sets: Oh, Hello, Mosaic Madness and Simply Sketched.
I started with a Whisper White layer and then stamped the chevron oval from Oh, Hello set in Coastal Cabana, then used the sentiment from Simply Sketched set and stamped over the oval using Baked Brown Sugar ink.
I stamped couple mosaic pieces on Whisper White card stock using Crisp Cantaloupe ink and punched them using the coordinating punch. I adhered them to the layer using dimensionals to add some dimension to the card and then added some rhinestones in the centers. Then stamped the small flower-like pieces in Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar and added some more rhinestones for dimension.
At the end I adhered the layer to Crisp Cantaloupe card base.
Pretty simple :)

Missing you

Happy Monday!
I was planning to do some creating last night after the girls go to bed, but instead I ended up taking my 6 month old to the ER and we didn't get home until after midnight. It was my first trip to the ER and it wasn't a bad experience. We had basically no wait time and we were seen pretty quick, but then had to stay there for a little while. She is doing great, her normal self today. Seems she just had a bad episode of acid reflux. :(

So, that meant no creating last night, but I have a card I made little while ago to share with you.

The base is white and the main dry embossed layer with the hive embossing folder is white. The image from "For the birds" is stamped using Staz-on jet black ink and then watercolored using markers and aqua painter. After that the image was diecut using Apothecary labels framelits and layered on two pieces of dsp. I used the mini brads on the end of the label.

Hip Hip Hooray met Perfect Pennants and Simple Celebrations

Happy Saturday! Life is getting back to normal after the snow/ice snow. And last night we finally had a date with my hubby after 2.5 years. Daycare had organized Date Night Out, so we took advantage of that and it was nice. We decided to stay home, since after the storm everything was packed and there was so much traffic. I think everyone was trying to shake off the cabin fever :)

Anyway, here are few more samples using the Hip Hip Hooray kit. I still have supplies for 2 more cards, so I will share those once I finish them. :)
For the cards I used as well 2 other stamp sets besides what was included in the kit: Simple Celebrations and Perfect Pennants.

Enjoy your weekend :)

Quack, Quack, it's Valentine's day!

As I promised, I am back with another creation, the valentines I made for my 6 month old girl for daycare. Since infants can't really eat candy and I don't know their diets, I decided to go with rubber duckies that I picked up at Target. I used some Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride card stock and some dsp that I have been hoarding for ling time, but it's not SU!.
I used 4 punches : Heart, Scallop border, Corner rounder and the Scallop Tag Topper, as well and Teeny Tiny wishes set.
I tied the tags around the necks of the duckies using retired Real Red taffeta ribbon.

I think they came out cute :)

The life you've imagined

Happy Friday and Happy Valentine's day!

I am so sorry for my silence the past couple days, we had the winter storm Pax going through the region and we had 2.5 days of no work/daycare. So were all home and I was trying to come up with ideas what to do with the little ones, well more so with the 2 yr old, the 6 month old is pretty easy, just put her in a jumper and she's happy :) As well I was finishing their Valentines for daycare. I will share Milena's later today, and for Anna I used the Monster Hugs that I shared couple weeks ago :)

I am not sure if I have shared this card before or not, I couldn't find it, so here it is. This is one of the samples I made for the display boards for Convention last year. I like the simplicity of it :)

Check back later, I will have some more things to share.
