My Sweet Petunia meets My Favorite Things

Hi everyone,
Happy Friday....today, we are collaborating with My Favorite Things!!!
You know when you say something you shouldn't have or react in a some way that shouldn't have. Well that happened to me the other day. I went on and on for 5 minutes at my friend, who apparently didn't have the best day/morning so far. So, of course afterwards I felt really bad that I was being "mean" to him.
I thought this set called Cute Chemists from My Favorite things was perfect one to say sorry.

To make my card I started with a panel of white card stock and lined up the image and sentiment in my MISTI and stamped once. I colored the image  using alcohol based markers, and put it back in the MISTI and stamped one to two more times. Trimmed it down, masked the top using piece and card stock and the MISTI to hold it still (with magnet on top) and inked the bottoms part. I used the new patterned paper stack to add a strip to the side and then a strip of red card stock.
Assembled the card onto pink card base.

Both MISTI and MFT have give aways, Each company is giving away $50 gift certificate. Just leave a comment for a chance to win.

Hero Arts: Hello, I love you

Hi everyone,
I am back today with a sweet little card using some Hero Arts goodies.
To make my card I started by stamping the Meerkat pair onto alcohol marker friendly card stock using Intense black ink. Once stamped I colored it and cut it out using the Cloud infinity dies.  I stamped the little heart using Pale Tomato ink.
I die cut Hello from black card stock and inked it with Versamark then applied few coats of ultra fine clear embossing powder.
On a piece of black card stock I stamped the "i love you" sentiment and embossed in white, then trimmed it to size.
I took a piece of Pool Layering paper and stamped the Floral Mandala Bold Prints using Versamark, then embossed with Ultra fine embossing powder and assembled my card onto a black note card.

Impression Obsession: Old is New

Hi everyone,

Sometimes we get so busy with new released stamps that we forget about our old favorites. The Impression Obsession team has set aside a couple days a month to share some new projects using some great older stamps. You can see the list of today’s participants on the Impression Obsession blog
For my card today I used the Dancing Leaves background along with an very old favorite Comfort zone.
I stamped the background onto white cards stock using Chartreuse ink. Trimmed the panel to 4" x 5 1/4". Next I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock using Versamark ink and embossed in white. Trimmed the strip to size. Adhered to the stamped panel and using fun foam to black note card. To finish it off I added few black rhinestones.

You should have arrived here from Brenda's blog - I'll have the links to your next destination at the bottom of this post.
I have 2 sets of cards for you today using the new sets Special Day Lanterns and Hustle and Grind Sentiments.
I loved building the lanterns ,the set comes with 3 different sizes of lanterns and flowers that are layering. I kept them simple as they layering adds a lot of interest. After I stamped the images I just added a simple sentiment.

For the second set of cards I had so much fun with the Hustle and Grind sentiments and the little geometric elements that come in the set. This must be my favorite set from this release, as I can relate to all the sentiments in this set. I

Thank you so much to Effie for asking me to participate and to you for stopping by today! And now you'll want to head over to Mayline's blog to see what she is sharing in today's mini hop.
