While ago I posted a card using the reverse applique technigue (HERE). Here is a card I made yesterday using the same technique, but I used some ribbon scraps I had laying around. We all have these, don't we. I thought it was nice to use them, instead of throwing them in the garbage.

Inspired by Nature Flight of the Butterfly

I can't believe that it's New Years Eve Day. When the year went by? It's been definitelly one of the craziest years for me so far. hubby getting laid off...getting a job...moving to GA...Sean getting a job....wonder what next year has in store for us. I know I am personally looking forward to next year. Especially because at the end of February we are going to HAWAII, yeah, you read it ... Hawaii... I can't wait. My best friend is moving there for the next 1.5 year for med school and we are going to well celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, have our yearly vacation...and maybe my birthday which is in April, but I wanted to go swimming with dolphins and watching dolphins, so Hawaii is a perfect place for that :) (and pricey)...Anyway ... Hope everyone has wonderful New Year!!!

This card it case from Kirsty Brown , I just changed up the color scheme.
I really liked the focal point and how the different stamp sets came together to form a perfect scene, so I had to make one too.

stamps: Upsy daisy, inspired by nature, flight of the butterfly
ink: old olive, white staz-on, rose red

And I have to share with you the last batch of Xmas cards, again the stamps are not SU. I used confetti cream, garden green and bravoo burgundy cardstock for these cards. And actually there were Sean's family Christmas cards.

Scraps Christmas Cards

Few days ago I promissed that I will share my Xmas cards. I was able to make 40 out of the planned 50 and I am proud of it, since I was working 12 hrs a day, 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks. As well tonight we finished testing the Excitation System units and they will be shipping tomorrow, and tomorrow morning Sean and I are flying to Baltimore,MD and from there renting a car and driving to York,PA.
Anyway here is part of the Xmas cards I made. I kept them all simple, since I had just little bit of time. For this one I used some retired leftover dsp (riding hood red prints), the sentiment is not SU!. As well I added some random buttons and some linen thread. I sew the focal part using red thread.

Check back tomorrow for some more Xmas cards :) I will have a post scheduled for you ;-)

Snow Burst Glass Mug

12 Days of Holiday Sales and Specials on my Instructions(ends 12/22)

Here is another gift I created in less than an hour. This shows how you can use your stamps as stencils. I stamped the images from Snow Burst set (retired) on tissue paper and using tape I adhered it to the inside of the mug and using Vitrea markers (frosted and glossy blue) I traced on the outside of the mug. You will need to let it dry for 24hr and then you will need to bake the object for about 40 min to set the paint. The paint is not toxic and after it's set it can be washed in the dishwasher (not the paint but the object, in my case the mug)
