Hero Arts : There is always space in my heart

Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday! I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I spent last week in Vegas for work meeting. Yeah, I know Vegas doesn't sound much as work, but it was for work trust me. lol. We didn't really do the typical Vegas things but we had fun, besides work. We visited Hoover Dam hydro plant, as well as, Ivanpah solar plant. We went go cart racing, watched stand up comedy, had lots and lots of food, some wine and other drinks, and laughed and laughed.

Anyway, today I have a card using the Hero Arts Dream big set and dies. I think this is one of my favorite stamps sets!
1.Cut  and secure 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" watercolor paper panel with painters tape , covering the edges about 1/8-1/4" on each side.
2. Create the sky background by layering coats of paint (cobalt, navy and purple). Start from light coat, then add more, drying each layer with embossing gun before applying the next layer
3. Create stars by sprinkling some water onto the panel and lift up with paper towel, next sprinkle some white watercolor paint with a paint brush.
4. Stamp the planets and the girl using Intense black ink pad and color with markers, then die cut them.
5. Stamp the sentiment with versamark onto the watercolor panel and emboss with white embossing powder.
6. Adhere the girl and balloons to the panel and add sequins
7. Adhere to note card

Impression Obsession: The future of the World

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!
I am back today with an Impression Obsession card using one of the new stamps called "Classroom".
I started with a piece of Arches cold press watercolor paper measuring 3 3/4" x 5". I used peerless watercolors to make the watercolor wash background. Once that was dried I stamped the sentiment with black ink, then with versamark and embossed using Ultra Fine embossing powder.
Next, I adhered using fun foam to a black note card. To finish it off I added some black Nuvo Crystal drops.

A Muse Studio November sneak peeks day #2

Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday and welcome to Day 2 of A Muse studio Sneak peeks of the November release. Today I have a card showing you the new set called "Holiday Trimmings" and the coordinating dies. For my card today I only used the stamp set. I stamped the branches on two of the corners and then the pine cones. After that I stamped the sentiment and added some cherry pearls. Adhered to a note card made from cherry card stock and voila, quick, simple and effective holiday card ;)

Make sure you visit the A Muse studio blog ( I have another card up on the A Muse Blog), and the rest of the Design team blogs for more sneak peeks!

A Muse Studio November Sneak Peeks Day #1

Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday and welcome to Day 1 of A Muse studio Sneak peeks of the November release. Today I have a card showing you the new set called "Mug Life" and the coordinating dies.
I die cut the mugs (I die cut one from the white side of the card stock, so I could get mirror image). Using masking technique I stamped the top of the mugs using versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Die cut the hearts. Stamped, die cut and embossed the marshmallows and whipper cream. Assembled my card and voila :)

Make sure you visit the A Muse studio blog ( I have another card up on the A Muse Blog), and the rest of the Design team blogs for more sneak peeks!

Jump Start the Holidays with Hero Arts - video and give away

Hi Stampers! Happy Friday!!!

Today we are hopping to celebrate all things fall and winter - and to rev up your holiday cardmaking motors! We are also joining Lea Lawson during her month-long Crafty Comeback Party. Lea is an amazing designer, and we are thrilled to support her! Tune into her blog every day this month - she began the party on October 7, and there have been many beautiful cards and fabulous giveaways along the way!  To make this party extra fun, we invited along the fabulously talented team at A Blog Named Hero! Lots of inspiration on this hop today.
You probably came here from Lea's blog, if not you can go back to the beginning and start over at the Hero Arts blog. Or look at the full list of hoppers on the bottom of this post.

And from here, you will head over to Jana's blog and expect to be wow-ed!

Now, onto my card and box! I had to use the cutest Color Layering Penguin for my project today. He is irresistible! I used my MISTI to stamp few penguins using the pack of cubes and embossing powder that coordinate with this set. For my last layer I first stamped with black and then over stamped with Versamark and embossed with the sparkle embossing powder. Then die cut all the little penguins and set them aside. For the box I used 6 3/4" x 11" piece of Pool Layering paper and spritzed with the shimmer spray. I scored the 6 3/4" side at 2" and 5" and the 11" side at every 1 3/4" and you'll be left with 1/2" tab to adhere the box together. For the dome I used the Oval infinity dies as template for scoring (watch the video below).  I stamped the hand drawn snowflakes bold prints and embossed with Sparkle embossing powder. Watch the video below to see how this box came to be.

After I put my box together I adhered the penguin, some vellum on the bottom, sequins etc. While I was at it, since I had extra penguins I decided to make a coordinating card, that is shaker card.

We will be giving away a $25 gift certificate, randomly chosen from all of the comments left at every stop along the blog hop. To enter, leave a comment on any of the blogs by Friday, November 10 at 11:59pst, and the winner will be announced on Lea Lawson's blog the on Sunday, November 12

CAS-usal Fridays Challenge CFC185

Hi Stampers!
It's time for another CAS-ual Fridays challenge, this time around the challenge is Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. For my card I used  the set called BE. I started with a panel of watercolor paper and couple Daniel Smith colors (pink hues) to create the watercolor wash background. After it was dried I used gold Finetec Mica watercolor to sprinkle some gold drops onto my panel. I like the Finetec colors because they are so rich, bright and opaque. After it was all nice and dry I stamped the sentiments and butterfly with Versamark ink and embossed with White embossing powder. Added few clear sequins and adhered the panel onto Sweet Gelato note card.

IO Stamps Challenge : Haunted Greetings

Hi stampers!
Welcome to another Impression Obsession challenge. This week the challenge is "Haunted Greetings".  I decided to use the Eat Drink Pumpkin die and make a shaker card. I cut the the pumpkin without the outline from black card stock and sprayed with shimmer spray. Once it was dried I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder. I adhered piece of acetate on the back to cover the die cut and created shaker and filled with sequins. Using foam mounting tape I adhered to my card base. To finish it off I added some googly eyes to the pumpkin!

Make sure you visit the blogs of the rest of the DT for more inspiration!

Hero Arts : I Love You to the Mewn & Back

Hi stampers!
Happy Saturday! Sorry for the quietness. Work has been crazy and I was working on projects I can't share yet, so you will need to wait a little longer to see those :P
But for now I have a card using the Hero Arts Mewn and Back set. Who doesn't like space cats?
For my card I cut a panel of 4" x 5 1/4" from snow paper. Then I die cut the circle on it and stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Intense black ink. I stamped the images with Intense black ink pad and colored with Copics.
On separate piece of paper (4"x4" snow paper) I applied directly Navy ink (swiped with the ink pad) leaving the bottom un-inked. Then inked the bottom using the same technique using the Grape Juice ink and kind of blended both colors. While the ink was still wet I stamped the stars with Versamark ink and dried with the heat tool. Then I stamped more stars and embossed with Sparkle embossing powder. I added some dots(stars) using white gel pen, too.
I adhered the inked piece on top of the note card, making sure it's placement was under the circle window that I made earlier.
I adhered the white panel with the circle window using mounting tape and arranged the images I stamped, colored and cut earlier. Voila!

Winterhaven Stamp Of Approval is live!

Hi everyone!
The Winterhaven stamp of approval is live for the general public. Since last night when it went on sale for the Stamp Nation members who attended t he PJ party, then for those on the wait list, only 30% of the boxes remain in stock. So hurry up! Head over Catherine Pooler's store to get yours!

In meantime here are few more cards I made using the collection!

For my first card I combined Here We Come A- Caroling and Tis the season (the little dots).  I used one of the trees in the set to create my background. I stamped with variety of non traditional ink colors (Aquatini, Melon Ice and It's a Girl), then added the little dots using It's a Boy, Limey Rickey and Party dress inks. For the sentiment, I stamped it with Versamark, then by mistake I embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped it again and embossed with white and repeated the procedure few times until I got nice, solid and raised image. I cut a circle and adhered to my card. I added some Clear Nuvo Crystal drops to finish off my card.

For my next card I created a background using the Tis the Season set using Rockin' red, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt and Garden Party Then stamped the little dots with versamark and embossed with gold. I created the frame from gold foil card stock using the Good Stuff dies and the Joy using the Joy wreath dies. I adhered to gold foil card stock panel, then white note card.

For my last, but not the least card I used again both Tis the Season and Here We Come A Caroling sets. I cut mask for the poinsetia and dry embossed the tag from Good Stuff die set. Then masked around it, added the poinsettia mask and sponged around with Aquatini ink pad until I was satisfied. Removed the poinsettia mark and stamped the poinsettia. Then removed all masks. I stamped the sentiment in versamark and embossed in white, then moved my paper a little bit in the MISTI and stamped the sentiment again, this time I applied clear embossing powder. I added some White Nuvo Crystal drops. I sponged the edges of white panel using Aquatini ink, then adhered my panel onto it. to finish I adhered the whole panel onto white card note.

(and trust me, you do!!!!)
Christmas is my favorite time of the year for crafting, and you can never have enough Christmas stamps (and dies)!!! Trust me! Thought I may need an intervention when it comes to Christmas stuff lol. But this is my favorite SOA so far and it's so versatile!!! Pair it up with the amazing Catherine Pooler designs inks and you have cards for the win.
I like to think and create outside of the box. So when it comes to Christmas crafting I often find myself using non traditional colors.
For my first card I paired the Here we come a caroling set and the Joy wreath dies. I used few of the Catherine Pooler's designs ink pads (Rockin' red, Party dress, It's a girl and Flirty Fuchsia ) to create the the watercolor wash, then sprayed some drops onto the background. After it was dried I stamped and embossed the sentiment. The wreath was cut from Premium white card stock and I added some Nuvo drops. I adhered the panel onto Paper Source hot pink note card.

For my second card I used the Here we come A-caroling stamps and dies along with the Good Stuff dies. To create the two tone effect I used the MISTI when stamping my images. I stamped first with one color (I used soft cloth to remove some ink from the edge - aka transition area of the color, then stamped the other half. I die cut them and created my little scene.

And for my last, but not the least card I used the Ornamental Background stamp and Joy Wreath dies (only the joy sentiment) .I stamped the background on Arches hot press paper and embossed with copped embossing powder. Unsing 3 Catherine Pooler's designs inks (Something borrowed, aquatini , Fiesta blue and It's a boy) I created the watercolor wash. I adhered the strip of white and copper card stock, adhered the sentiment and added some clear drops , then adhered my panel to a card base.
