Song of Spring

I am probably already in Hawaii when you read this post. I may be able to interrupt the scheduled posts with some fun pictures. But I am not sure how things will go.
I had colored this image long time ago and never put into a card. So I decided to make a simple card with it (the card size is 4"x4"). I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with my Stampin' Write Markers and aqua painter.

Happy Anniversary

I had long and busy day at work, and I was so tired that I messed up a lot of cardstock trying to come up with a design for this card, and it's still not the way I would like it to be. Anyway today (2/24/10) Sean and I are celebrating out 5th wedding anniversary. I can't believe that 5 years have gone by. During the 5 years we've been married we lived in 3 different appartments, 3 different towns, 2 different states. It's been amazing 5 years...
And on Saturday we are flying to Hawaii for our vacation, anniversary celebration and to visit my best friend from Macedonia who used to live in San Francisco and recently moved to Hawaii. is the card I made for Sean for our anniversary, I used the raccoon from Love Bandit, since raccoon has special meaning to us, just raccoon was dead, we never seen him alive...but we saw him dead every single day...It's a long story from 6 years ago when I moved to the US....

Friend 24-7 thinking of you

This is the third card design I had prepared for yesterday for the women from my church to make to include in the gift baskets they were putting together. This card is inspired by Monika Davis aka MAD Stamper.
Oh yeah, I created new watermark :) I have been playing today with MDS and Photoshop ;-)

I haven't really created anything new since Monday, it's been crazy week, especially at work, and I almost ended up flying to Germany yesterday. They told me on Tuesday, like " you are going to Germany tomorrow"... but they found someone else who was already there to bring the stuff we need from there. Anyway...I feel exhausted and it's bed time ;-) I am looking forward going on vacation to Hawaii in a week....

Upsy Daisy

I needed to come up with few simple cards for Wednesday night that several women from my church will make to include in the gift baskets for the women from the Drake house. I tried to keep them simple since we have limited time of 1 hr. I came up with 4 different designs.
This is one of them, and it's not completely mine. I saw similar card blog surfing today, I kept the sketch same and the Upsy Daisy stamp set.

Punched border using curly label punch

Here is another quick tutorial for you. This time it's making a punched border using the curly label punch.
For this you will need:
Curly label punch
a strip of cardstock you will like to use for the border. I used 5 1/2" long and 2" wide.
Ruler, pencil and eraserstart by drawing a line about 3/4" from one end. This will serve you as a guide when punching, so you have even border ;-)
Start from the middle of the cardstock, and position the punch about 1/4" above the line, see picture. And punch.

Now you can move to the right and left, using the same principle. Just now you will need to line up as well the ends with the previous punch out. Repeat until you have punched the whole strip.
And there you have it.
In order to have smaller "peaks" you can overlap a little bit the ends of the punch and the previous punch out.
As I said, it's quick tutorial :)
