Flying by to say Hi

Hi Stampers!
I can't believe it's the last day of the year. I am so not ready this year to be over and I am not ready for tonight. I am serious, I have nothing prepared, not even dinner, and we have nothing at home Talk about not being ready.
However, I do have some eye candy for you. For this card I used one of the Lili of the Valley Odd Dog stamps (Odd Dog Balloon) and stamped him on watercolor paper using Staz-on ink and then colored him with Prima watercolor pencils. Then trimmed my panel, and along with a strip of Lawn Fawn designer paper I adhered it to my white card base. To finish up my card I added some sequins. Voila ;)

As a reminder, I have cards for sale HERE in order to raise money for my mom's trip back home. You can go HERE to read the whole story.

Hope you all have a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!

A bit of kindness and cards for a cause

Hi Stampers!
Yesterday the day just went crazy and I didn't get a chance to post. I promised that I will post cards for sale to raise money to support my mom's trip back to Macedonia. For those who are reading my blog for first time here's a little background from the GoFundMe page I created for the same cause:

My mom was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer with brain metastasis. She had brain surgery for the purpose of biopsy and to remove the tumor and is waiting to start radiation and chemo. However due to issues with insurance she can't receive Hospice care because she is not eligible for Medicare. She is returning to Macedonia and due to all the costs she had and will have (plane tickets etc) I am trying to raise money to support her trip back to Macedonia on January 15th. Any donation is appreciated. Thank you in advance. As well all good thoughts, positive vibes and prayers are greatly appreciated especially for uneventful trip (the trip is about 20 hours) back home.

In order to help support her trip back home I am selling my cards in sets of 5 cards (they will be either individually packaged  with envelope in clear bags, or in a clear box all together with envelopes of course). The price is $10 for set of 5 cards plus shipping within the US (for outside the US please email me for shipping quote and invoice). All cards are handmade by me.  To purchase just click on the paypal button. For multiple sets I will reimburse you for the difference for combined shipping.

Now onto my set of cards for today. I made these little while ago during Jennifer McGuire's campaign Share Handmade Kindness. I made set of these cards to give away to people I meet along my way or to leave at cars parked at grocery store parking lot. I used Wplus9 (Fresh Cut Containers) and the Hero Arts Kindness set. I really like how they turned out. On one of them I did little experiment and am very pleased with the results. I used my Chameleon Pens to add some dimension and move the ink around, you can see it on the bottom picture where I am comparing the two cards.

Thank you

Hi Stampers!
Whew, Christmas is over. It's been crazy few days leading up to Christmas and few days after Christmas. I felt like the kids and everyone else went just nuts. And on other hand my mom decided to go back to Macedonia and there is no one else to take her, so I will be flying with her on January 15th. To help with the cost and everything I created a GoFundMe account. She is not eligible for Medicaid/Medicare here in the US, so her Hospice care is not covered by her regular insurance. This is the main reason she decided to go back to Macedonia and I want to help her with travel costs and other costs due to her hospital stay etc, as she and her husband can't cover her plane ticket and travel cost . If you want to donate, I will greatly appreciate it. As well I will have some cards for sale to help raise some money, too. I will be posting those tomorrow or so.

To donate you can go to the GoFundMe.
Thank you all in advance!

Now that Christmas is over I am going back to regular posting mode, as much as I can.
Today I am blogging over the Chameleon Blog and here's a little sneak peek of my card I have there. For the list of supplies and tutorial head over there ;)

Drummer Boy

Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday! I am back today with the last batch of this year's Christmas cards. I made just 5 of these since it involved coloring and masking. I used the Wplus9 set Drummer Boy for them. I just love this set. Using post it notes I was able to create the scene and colored it using my Chameleon Pens. After that I trimmed the panel and added a strip of gold foil and gold foil vellum.  Then adhered the whole panel onto White Card base.
I have some good news to share, a little early Christmas gift for our family. My husband just got a job offer, so his 2 months of unemployment are going to end very very soon. Very exciting..

Hope your Holidays Sparkle

Hi Stampers!
Happy Friday! I can't believe it's 1 week until Christmas. And it just hit me that we don't have any Christmas decorations out. And it made me feel like a bad mommy. And we don't have our Christmas shopping done, either. This year has been just so crazy, with Sean losing his job and then my mom being diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer which is progressing much faster than they expected.
But on the bright side is that I am almost done with our Christmas cards, this is one of the last designs. I finished one and need to still assemble 10 more of these cards. I CASE-d this one from Pinterest, there was no watermark on the picture, so I am not sure who is the original designer. I believe it's one of the Papertrey Ink DT members. I used few sets (Sparkle and Shine and Sparkle and Shine Holiday Edition sets) and the Make it Market: Shakers and Sprinkles Kit, along with Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots stamp set and Shakers Shapes: Ornament Die.
I filled the shaker with paper confetti I made from Hibiscus burst, Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, White and Simply Chartreuse card stock and 2mm silver edible dragees.
I really like how this batch of cards turned out!

Just for YOU

Hi stampers!
I am back again today with a little SAB sneak peek. I used one of the SAB sets called Botanicals for you. I stamped the large sentiment in black and then added the flowers and branches using the Hero Arts ombre inks. Then trimmed my panel to 4 x 5 1/4" and adhered it to black top fold card base.
Pretty simple and easy. But I love the effect the bold black sentiment has.
Check back tomorrow for more eye candy and a give away!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Hi Stampers!
I am back today with another batch of Christmas cards. These came out to be more involved, so I just made 10 of these. I am actually still working on another design and am just waiting some sprinkles to arrive, so I can fill the shakers ;) But I will share those when I have them finished.
Today, we have our Christmas potluck at work, so I am looking forward to it. It's Christmas and Diversity put together. My office is pretty diverse, so it's fun seeing and sampling foods from different areas of the world. And it's a good distraction to not have to think what my mom is going through and everything connected to it.
For today's card (which I CASE-d from Pinterest, I believe the original card was made by Kay Miller). For this batch of cards I used bunch of Papertrey Ink goodies. I started with the Petite Places: Holiday Lane set and dies, as well the Scene it: Everyday die. And for the sentiment I used the Signature Christmas set (again from Papertrey ink). I used the Scene it: Bethlehem die to create the mask for the circle, and I sponged using Sea Glass Simon Says Stamp ink pad and Tim Holtz small round blending tool. As well I used Simon Says Stamp, Hero Arts and Wplus9 inks to stamp the images, then I stamped the sentiment using Stampin' Up! Archival Black ink.
Before I adhered all the images I die cut each panel using the MFT Blueprints dies. Then Adhered the images and adhered the panel to my white card base using  little bit smaller panels of fun foam.

As well with this set of cards I am playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge : Die Crazy

I forgot to mention, I got some fun mail yesterday from Bossy Joscie (it's a personalized stamp I ordered) and I LOVE it.

Sending Holiday Cheer

Hi stampers,
It's been a rough day. My mom was admited to the hospital again and I was told today that her cancer is progressing much faster that they expected and they are looking to put her in Hospice. So I will keep this post short, because I don't know what to write.
I am sharing another batch of Christmas cards that I made this year. I still need to mail them, though. Last year I made all the cards, but didn't get around mailing them. Shame on me.
Again, this is a CASE from WPlus9 website and it uses the set from WPlus9 called Heartfelt Holidays. I whipped up these in just few hours thanks to my MISTI. I used some Hero Arts, Wplus9 and Simon Says Stamp ink pads. I am really liking those.

Hi Stampers! I am back again, today, with a second post. Can you believe that??!?!

This time I am diverting little bit from Christmas and I am sharing Sale-a-bration sneak peek. For this card I used 2 stamp sets from the SAB catalog (these will be available starting January 4th for free with $50 purchase from Stampin' Up!).
To stamp the images  I used the Hero Arts Ombre inks. Maybe you have noticed I have been using these quite bit lately. I just love them and I do hope they come out with more colors. I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Hello stamp set and the flowers from the Botanicals for you set, both from the SAB catalog, then I die cut the bottom of my panel using one of the Simon Says Stamp border dies. I added some Botanical Gardens patterned paper that will be available in the Occasions catalog from Stampin' Up! in early January.
I really like the bright and cheery colors!

Merry Christmas

Hi Stampers!
I am back today with the first batch of Christmas cards I made. When I mass produce, I can't do dozens and dozens of one design, I need to change things and do different designs, otherwise I will never finish them. So the first up is this design that I CASE-d from the Hero Arts blog, and changed it around a little. I used the Peace by Kelly mini stamp from Hero Arts for the main image, and then Merry stamp and cuts from Hero Arts (for the star) and the sentiment is from Papertrey ink. I stamped the trees using the Lime to Forest Green Ombre pad from Hero Arts, then stamped the star and lastly the sentiment. After all was stamped I diecut the panels using the Stitched rectangles dies from Lil' Inker Designs.
For the card bases I used Poppy Red card stock from PTI and then I stamped Candy Cane striped HA background stamp using Gala Red ink pad from WPlus9. Last, but not the least I adhered the panels to my card bases and added some rhinestones that I had previously colored with my YO3 Chameleon Pen.
Making these cards started the Holiday season and crafting with my 4 yr old, Anna. When I got back from work yesterday, she help me make the cards while my other 2 kiddos were taking naps, otherwise it wouldn't have been possible to make anything with those 2 around ;) Don't get me wrong, I love them to pieces, but they are too little for crafting ( 2 yrs and 10 months)

Dear Friend

Hi stampers!
I am back again with another card today. This is post #2 for today where I finally take a part of the SSS Monday Challenge, which this week is Just a Pinch and I use some Wink of Stella and Rhinestones to add some sparkle to my card.
You may want to scroll down if you would like to see post post #1. This card was inspired by my daughter's dress I got her for the Christmas party yesterday at church (you can see the dress in the post below). I used the brand spankin' new set from SU! that will be released next month in the Occasions catalog called Birthday blooms. I stamped the image onto Neenah classic crest ultra smooth card stock using Memento ink and colored it with my Chameleon pens, then I cut it our by hand. I die cut the tag using the Wplus Anastasia die and stamped the sentiment and then using dimensionals I adhered the flowers and tied some ribbon on the top. Then for the card base I used Navy card stock that I stamped using the wide stripes Simon Says Stamp background die and Hero Arts Navy ink pad. I adhered the tag using dimensionals to my card base. At the end I added some Wink of Stella clear to the flower petals and Gold to the center of the flower. To finish up I added some rhinestones.
I really like how this card turned out!

A very merry Christmas

Hi stampers!
Happy Monday! I am kind of going back in Christmas crafting, as I still haven't made our Christmas cards and other crafts and gifts I was planning on  doing. Yesterday we had our church Christmas party and Santa was there, so I was able to get some pictures of the kids and Santa, as well they had little Christmas Performance. The girls were so cute! Or I am just biased ;)

So to start I have this little Christmas card that I made using one of Just ME digital stamps. This is actually my 2nd card using this digital stamp. I love how I was able to edit it and have 3 kids instead of 2 in pajamas and Santa hats. I printed my image and then colored it with my Chameleon Pens, then die cut it using one of the double stitched rectangles from Lil Inkers designs. Then I die cut the frame and stamped with the Simon Says Stamps Falling Stars background stamp. The card stock I used is Sno Cone from My Favorite Things.

Skipping Stones Designs and Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi stampers! Happy Friday!
Today marks the start of the Holiday Coffee Lovers blog hop and Skipping Stones Designs is one of the sponsors.
So, for my card I used the Funny Coffee stamp set from Skipping stones design. Stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo black and colored with my Chameleon Pens , then I cut it out and adhered on a die cut stitched circle on which I already had stamped the sentiment. Then I trimmed one side of the circle and adhered on my dsp mat. After that I adhered the whole mat onto Poppy Red card base and tied some Real Red cotton ribbon.

Thanks for being YOU

Hi Everyone!
It's almost the weekend as well Christmas is in couple weeks. Now that Anna's birthday is over we can start getting stuff ready for Christmas. However we are going to wait till the last moment to put up the Christmas tree because my little crazy boy is going to pull it down. Now that he's experienced crawler, he gets everywhere and he climbs everywhere. He's a funny little boy, very social and vocal. He's hilarious!
Today, I have another Occasions catalog sneak peek for you. This time I am using two new sets (and coordinating dies) Botanical Blooms and Suite sayings, along with the coordinating designer series paper. I really like the font of the sentiment, it's very trendy these days.
I know it's Christmas time and I have been sharing a lot of non Christmas stuff. But I promise I will go into Christmas mode again soon, once I start making our Christmas cards as well as crafts with my kids.

Fear Not - Stampin' Up! Occasions Sneak Peek

Hi Stampers!
Happy hump day!
I can't believe that my oldest one is turning 4 today. It's crazy how time flies. It feels like she was just a baby yesterday. Well, that yesterday was 4 years ago. I have a pretty simple card for you today, but with some coloring touch that adds extra interest.
This is another sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. I used the new bundle called Rose Wonder. I used the die and watercolor paper to cut our the flower and leaves. Then using my Zig clean color real brush markers and aqua painter I colored the diecuts and adhered them on a piece of white card stock. After that I trimmed it to size and stamped the sentiment with Archival Basic Gray ink pad. At the end I just mounted the whole panel onto my card base.

Happy Birthday - SU! Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Hi Stampers!
I am so sorry I didn't do a second post yesterday, but I am back today with a little sneak peek of the new Occasions catalog from Stampin' Up! I just love this stamp set with balloons. It's called Balloon Celebration. And more so, my kids love balloons, so it's perfect. On Saturday I got Anna a balloon for her birthday (besides other things) and she had so much fun with it, as well Jason and Milena loved it, especially my little Jason. He went crazy with the balloon!

I stamped the balloons using the Hero Arts Ombre inks! I LOVE those ink pads! As well I used the It's my Party designer series paper stack for the bottom of the card. I love the black base patterned paper. There are few patterns with black base, so awesome! The scalloped border die is from Simon Says stamp!

Note: I have 3 more SNOW GLOBE kits left if anyone still needs some.
Check back tomorrow for another SNEAK PEEK

Bohemian and SU! Occasions catalog sneak peek

Hi Stampers!
It's Monday again. The weekend just flew by. On Saturday we celebrated Anna's 4th birthday (she is my oldest one) and yesterday we celebrated Sean's birthday. We didn't do much for either of them, but it was nice family celebration. On Saturday I was driving with Anna in the car to pick up Myra (her teacher from the daycare she was attending until couple months ago) and there was some road work, and she thought the construction workers were firemen,  I told her that they are not that they are fixing the road. And she goes" They are fixing the street because someone broke it in half?". Yeah, why not. lol
I had planned to post different card today, but I forgot to edit my pictures, lol. Mind is first to go. And mine is already gone. The card I was planning to post was a sneak peek from the new Occasions Catalog from Stampin' Up! But instead I will post some sneak peek pictures of the products I got ;) and a very simple card with no stamping. I used the Bohemian dsp and the Greetings thinlists.
Come back later today, I will be posting the card I forgot to edit ;)
