Hero Arts: Creativity Blooms Here

Hi stampers!
I have a quick and easy card for you today. I spent the weekend in Minneapolis attending Junkie Fest. (a craft retreat for members for StampJunkie FB group) and I had so much fun. I had the honor of designing the make and take for Hero Arts. So here is the card (though I wasn't teaching it, it was tought/done by the amazing Kim)

I used the Hero Florals stamp and cut Dahlia. Stamped it onto Bristol paper with Intense Black ink and watercolored using Pink and Leaf liquid watercolors. For the white panel, I did some stenciling, using the Honeycomb stencil and Soft Pool ink. Next I stamped the sentiment, which I thought described the whole retreat "Creativity Blooms Here". And assembled the card.

Hero Arts: Color Layering Armadillo - Just Poking By

Hi stampers!
Hello from Minneapolis. I have another card I made for the Hero Arts catalog for you today.
This time I am using the Color Layering Armadillo.
To make the card I stamped the images using my MISTI and bunch of color inks (listed at the bottom of this post). For my note card I used one of the Sunshine folded cards and stamped the Bandana Bold Prints on it. I die cut circle mask and sponged the sun. I assembled my card onto white panel and adhered to the Sunshine note card. I adhered 2 black strips on the sides and stamped the sentiment. And you are done!

Hero Arts: Thanks Bunch

Hi everyone!
I am back today with some Hero Arts goodness. I made this card for the Hero Arts summer catalog, so you may have seen it in there.
To make the card I started by stamping the Flowers for Coloring Bold Prints onto Vellum, using Versamark ink and embossed it in white. Next, I turned it on the back side and colored in with Copic Markers. I stamped few flowers from the coordinating clear set and embossed in white, then again colored with Copics and die cut them. Stamped the sentiment and using the Tag infinity dies to cut it out, then cut a vellum tag one size larger. I assembled my card onto Pool note card.
All the supplies are listed at the bottom of this post.

Pink and Main: Sending hugs

Hi everyone, I am back again today.
I am blogging over at Pink and Main, too and featuring the Pattern Maker stamp set. I used it to create my own patterned paper in warm colors. To make the card I started with a panel of white card stock and stamped the stripes repetitively using the following surface inks: Street Light, Salon, Rose Garden, Construction and Boutique. Once I was done with the pattern I trimmed my piece down to 2" x 4" and set it aside. In mean time I die cut the Hugs die from cream shimmer card stock, and using shimmer spray, sprayed 4" x 5 1/4" piece of black card stock.

Next, I stamped the "Sending" sentiment from the Hugs Needed stamp set and adhered the die cut. I assembled the whole card onto black note card and added some sequins to finish it off. I love how the warm and bright colors look on the black card stock and all the shimmer on it.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you are inspired to create something today.

Catherine Pooler Designs: Don't Stop Until You're Proud

Hi everyone!

The Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval is live for the general public. There are only limited number of boxes remaining. So hurry up! Head over Catherine Pooler's store to get yours and in mean time there are some add-ons too and new items in the store ;)

In meantime here is another card I made using the box collecting along with Tropically Yours dies.
To make the card I started with creating the background. You'll want to use a long acrylic block or a MISTI to stamp the background. I used green card stock from my stash and stamped with Lime Rickey ink (I think this is my favorite green). I trimmed it and set it aside. I stamped the hibiscus flovers and leaves using Tiki Torch and the new Coral Cabana, along with Icing on the Cake, Melon Ice and Lime Rickey. Die cut them and set them aside. Cut a panel from white card stock, stamp sentiment from Fearless Pursuit using Midnight ink and assemble your card.

Pink and Main: Spread your wings

Hi everyone!
I am back again today with a card featuring the You can Fly set and the coordinating dies along with the Butterfly background from Pink and Main.
To make the card start by stamping the butterfly on watercolor paper using Versamark ink (or any other sticky ink), next emboss with white embossing powder. I colored it using liquid watercolors, but you can use any other watercolors.

Then die cut it and set it aside. Stamp the Butterfly Background onto white card stock with Skyscraper Surface ink.   Die cut a rectangle using the Rounded Rectangles Stitched dies. Cut another rectangle of the same size from vellum. Adhere them together.  Adhere the butterfly using foam dots onto the butterfly panel. On a strip of black card stock stamp the sentiment with Versamark ink and emboss with white embossing powder. Adhere to your butterfly panel using foam dots.

To finish off the card adhere the butterfly panel onto black top folding note card ( 4 1/4" x 11" piece of black card stock scored at 5 1/2"). And embellish with few Rainbow Glossy Dots.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you are inspired to be creative today

Tropically Yours Stamp Of Approval Blog Hop Day #3

Hi Stampers!

Welcome to Day 3 of the Tropically Yours Stamp of Approval Blog Hop! You should have come from Jen's blog (full blog list below) and your next stop is Laurel.

If you’re new to Stamp of Approval – click here to check out everything you need to know about this amazing collection of Stamps, Dies and other goodies.

And make sure you are on the wait list so you get access to the collection at 9am ( if not sold out) on July 18th before goes live for the general public at 6pm (if not sold out). These collections almost always sell out, so if you're liking what you're seeing on the blog hop, you'll want to make sure that you have an opportunity to get your hands on this collection! (and trust me, you do!!!!)

This kit is such an amazing one, and I have feeling it'll fly off the shelves in record time.

For my first set of cards I used the Cabana Tiles dies along with Fearless Pursuit and Stand Tall sets for the sentiments. Watch the video below to see how I made the quilted look on these cards.

Next is a card on which I combined Fearless Pursuit and Leave me in paradise. I stamped border of leaves using Melon Ice, Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt, then stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink. Trimmed the panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhered to green card base.

For my next card I used Good Vibes Borders and Tropically Yours set and dies. I stamped the pattern using one of the border dies and the following inks: Aquatini, Lime Rickey, Tiara and Coral Cabana (NEW COLOR). I stamped the hibiscus flower in coordinating colors and die cut. Stamped the sentiment on black card stock and embossed in white. Assembled the card.

And last, but not the least, another colorful card. I created the background pattern using Leave me in Paradise and Tropically yours, using the same colors as the card above, only added Grape Crush to the mix. Stamped the sentiment from Fearless Pursuit onto black card stock and embossed in white. Assembled my card onto Black Note card.

Pink and Main: Hope You Are Feline Better

Hi everyone!
I am up on the Pink and Main blog today with a cute card using the new, fresh off the press set called Catitude and the coordinating dies. This set contains six very cute cat images and I had a hard time deciding which one I was going to use, along with the cat images, there are six sentiments and two hearts (one solid and one outline). To make my card I started by stamping one of the cat images onto white card stock with alcohol marker friendly ink. I colored it with copics (E30, E31, E33, E34, E35 and E37, along with R21) and die cut it. Set it aside. Cut 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white card stock and using ink blending tool and the new Skyscraper Surface ink blend in very gently where the cat would be.

Trim the panel under an angle. Stamp the sentiment to the right and make sure it's parallel with the angled edge. You can use MISTI tool or acrylic block with a grid. The grid helps tremendously when trying to line up sentiments. Cut thin strip of Navy card stock. Set it aside. Create a top folding note card from white card stock ( cut 4 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock and score and fold at 5 1/2"). Trim 2-2 1/2"x 4 1/4" piece of patterned paper from the Be Brave paper pack and adhere to the bottom of the note card. Adhere the panel that you did the ink blending lining it up with the top edge. (You need to make sure that when the patterned paper and the angled panel are adhered onto the note card there are no gaps, i.e. they overlap)
.
Adhere the cat using foam dots. Adhere the Navy strip on the edge between the panel and the patterned paper to make it more defined. To finish off your card add some Silver Glossy dots!
