Simply Inspired by Nature

This card took me 2 min to make last week. I was making some silk scarves for the Arts Festival, and wanted so bad to play with my new stamp sets, so I decided to make a quick and simple card and take a break. So I made this one. I just folded half sheet of whisper white and stamped the image and the sentiment from the Ispired by Nature stamp set. First I inked with pink pirouette the petals and whipe off the excess from the stems and middle and then added some riding hood read to the petals, then with the stampin' markers I colored the middle of the flower and the stems. And stamped the sentiment with basic black classic ink.

Sizzix diecuts card

As you may already figured out I have scheduled my posts for the next couple weeks while Sean and I are in Macedonia visiting my friends and family (or family and friends).
This card is one of the swaps from the last Philly Inkers downline meeting, it's made by one of my sidelines Tara. It's so Tara style!!! She stamped the Fresh Cut notes on cs and then diecut it with the sizzix dies which SU sells now. AS well she used the little flower stamp from the set Always and the sentiments from " Happy Everything"
BTW don't mind the strand of hair on the bottom right corner, it's not Tara's LOL, as I was taking the pic my hair got on the card (I guess it's getting too long), oh yeah, once I choped a strand with my paper cutter, I didn't see it that it went under the blade and I noticed when it was already cut, so lesson learner : put my hair in pony tail when I make cards or use the paper cutter, now even when I take pics.

Garden Whimsy

Finally I am able to post something. I have had back pains since Sunday, and have been mostly resting at home, I didn't go to work on Monday and Tuesday and yesterday I had half day and went to the doctor who said I had muscle spasm and if it doesn't improve in a week I need to go back for imaging etc.
Anyways, here is a scrapbook layout I created with the set Garden Whimsy, I love butterflies!
I used the Whimsy wheel to stamp on the so saffron background, and I layered it on Taken with Teal base as well I pierced the edges. I cut circles from ridinghood red and tangerine tango and layered those too and adhered to the base. I stamped the images, cut them out and daubed them with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut the photo matts and added brads and punched out strips with the window word punch. I added some apricot apeal ribbon (it looked like so saffron) and mounted the bugs, butterflies and snails with dimensionals and added a ridinghood red button.

Here is another onsie bouquet I made for my friend Ana from Serbia, she had a little boy in December, so I used 12-18 month onsies and the flowers look little biger. I like how it came out. I decorated the tin bucket with the Sale-a-Bration and Cherished rub-ons.

We Grow Great by Dreams

I posted last week a similar card to this, after I finished that one I was looking at it, and I realized that I don't like how it came out, so I tore it apart, so I can reuse some things (mainly the butterflies) and re-made it. So here is what I came up with.

We grow great with dreams

I am glad today is not very hot day. I am still trying to adjust to the humidity in Philadelphia, but it seems never becomes easier. It's the same as 4 years ago when I moved to Philly. I guess I can say that I don't like Philly summers, I just try to keep low profile (stay home) and try to survive another summer without getting a heat stroke or anything like that, as I have had 3 in the past. Oh my gosh, I remember the last one, it was almost 5 years ago, and I was on vacation in Ephesus, Turkey (yes, the place from the Bible) and ended up in Turkish hospital, 2 days before I had to return home. Let me tell you, Turkish hospital is the last place on Earth I would ever want to be. Anyways....

Here is another card I made with the Dreams du Jour stamp set. I love this stamp set, it's so elegant. I used as well the new scallop border punch, and the new In Colors, ridinghood red, kiwi kiss and pink pirouette and the new flower bouquet buttons. Stay tuned for more sneak peaks from the new catalog, which is about to come on August 11, at noon (MT). So many new great products coming out. Check on the top of the page for the retiring accessories and their availability, they are going fast and will be gone forever on AUgust 10 when is the last day to order any retiring stamp sets and accessories.

Dreams Du Jour

9 more days till the new Stampin' Up! catalog goes live! I can't wait to see it. This is just a little sneak peak from the new Fall-Winter catalog and idea book. I used the new set "Dreams du Jour" as well "Frames with a FLourish", and one of the new In Colors "Pink Pirouette" besides that for this 3x3 card I used the faux metal technique, basic black cs, versamark, brushed silver cs, silver embossing powder, iridiscent ice embossing powder, basic black classic ink pad and colored the image with my Copic markers (I love those things)
