Tea bag folding and more origami

I wanted to give a try to tea bag folding technique, and I wanted to prove myself that I can make a card in 10 min using the technique, and that's it's more time consuming to stamp a card then do a tea bag medalion, and that more creativity is involved in stamping than tea bag folding. So I made this card in 10 min, I used the thank you sentiment from Artfully Asian set, and used blush blossoms, regal rose and wild wasabi cardstock, and swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder. ANd here are few more origami flowers, I think I am done with the folding techniques for now, now back on stamping :)

few cards and origami

So, I have been sick the past couple days, and I all did was cased few cards LoL. I made this one for my best friend's bday which is on June 10(I hope she doesn't come to my blog till she gets her card :) ) I cased it from the SCS gallery, I can't remember the user. Here are the Father's day cards I made, I cased them from my friend Melissa, she made similar cards for our May Philly Inkers swap
This are some of the origami I made, I had to dig up some of my ancient origami paper, I think it may be about time to get new origami paper, it's the best kind of paper for folding, I tried with the SU dp but didn't work quite well.

wedding part 2

Here is the gift card holder I made to match the card bellow, now I just need to buy the gift card, or send my husband to buy it :P
I think I am done buying for today, I have spent over $2000 today, well $2000+ were just our plane tickets to Macedonia (Actually Bulgaria), yup we are definitelly going, leaving on August 27th and coming back of September 10th, we had to change the dates around due to the high price of the tickets for traveling on weekends. Besides that I just got the Bind-it-all and some owries, and I placed small order with SU! A shopping day, and I haven't been anywhere besides home and work. (LoL), what the internet can do! :)(make me lazy :P)

Wedding card

Here is a card I just made for a wedding we are going to this Saturday. I didn't know what colors to use, so I used the wedding invitation colors, blush blossom and purely pomogranate. I cased the sketch from my friend Kristin

She's all that and more

Here are some cards I made yesterday, the last two you have probably seen before, I had to make another one (with the She's all that set) as the one I had I sent it to my dad as a sample, and the last one I changed couple things and made a boxed pack of cards. For this card I stamped the background with staz-on on glossy white cardstock and then sponged it with more mustard , rose red and rubby red ,for the sun and the sky, and old olive and always arthichoke for the grass. I stamped the lady and the butterflies with versamark, embossed them with black ep, and sponged the edges to match the background and then with dimensionals I adhered them to the card

Saturday night creations

I was planning that on Saturday evening I will create at least 5 cards, oh boy, how wrong was I. In the morning we went to see Iron man and then we went to Joann's and to MESA for lunch, I got some goodies from Joann's to make gifts for my parents to give to them when we go to Macedonia, as well a kit for a CD-tin album for my in-laws for Xmas, they were on clearance.
Anyway, we got home around 3pm, and I straighten up a little and then went onto creating...we had dinner around 6-7pm and at 8 I started feeling little sleepy, so I laid on the couch to rest a little, and I fell asleep until 7.20am this morning. All I created were the following 2 projects, and I have so many ideas in my mind right now, we'll see how many of them will come to completion.

Partial embossing with cuttlebug

For this card I used partial embossing with my cuttlebug. I embossed with the folder " Swiss dots" on the edges of the whisper white cardstock and then stamped the image and then I scored 4 parallel lines, added the ribbon and adhered the layers. This card was so simple, for those who know me I am simplicity challenged.
I used whisper white, old olive and blue bayou cardstock, for the branch I used old olive, always arthicoke, close to cocoa and chocolate chip markers, plus blue bayou ink pad and soft sky ink pad.

Be inspired challenge # 8

Beate posted this inspiration challenge back in April, lol, I was looking for a tutorial on her site , while trying to get our plane tickets for Macedonia and saw this one and I realized that I wanted to make a card using this challenge but I never did.(click here for the challenge) So finally I made the card, after over 1 month. The only non SU products used are the orange and yellow Stickles and the cosmetic sponges I used for sponging the background.
SU supplies:
stamp set: Spring Solitude
ink: staz-on in jet black, barely banana, summer sun, rubby red, apricot apeal, pumpkin pie, markers in bashful blue, bordering blue, brocade blue, ballet blue, only orange and yoyo yellow.
cardstock: glossy white, basic black and bashful blue and versamarker
other: clear embossing powder, white gel pen.

Oh yeah, and I didn't get the plane tickets yet, everything I found was SOLD OUT, can ya beleive it, actually I wasn't searching for Macedonia, but Bulgaria, since that way we save $2000.

Fresh cuts reject

So this card didn't come out the way I wanted, it was about to end up in the trash can, but my husband didn't let me do it, he collects all my rejects and cards I don't want anymore. Even he wants me when we go to Macedonia to find the first card I have ever made and give it to him (assuming my mother didn't go through my stuff and throw everything away)
Anyway, this card didn't really turned the way I wanted, the "for you" sentiment is little croocked and I BURNED one of the flower petals while embossing, I guess I was tired and didn't notice the powder already melted :(
I stamped the base of the card with Soft SKy and Sanded background stamp and sponged the edges with soft sky. I stamped the big stamp from Fresh cuts in pretty in pink on the flower perals and then sponged the edges, and embossed with iredescent ice embossing powder, as well the center little flower. I adhered the center flower and then with dimensionals I adhered the perals. I stamped the leaves stamp in chocolote chip around the edges of the card. And inside the card there is a piece of 3.75x7.50" cardstock folded in half and adhered.
In the center I adhered prettie from pretties kit :)

Here is a scrapbook page I made few years ago for my dog Aaron. He's such a cuttie, but he is back in Macedonia with my dad. And he is about 12 years old now, I got him for my 18th birthday from my aunt from Serbia.

On this day

- I was rejected for US visa (though I got it 4 days later)
- my husband of 3 years, called me and sang I can love you like that (by All4One) and asked me to be his girlfriend

4.5 years ago
- my husband told me gave me for first time a call, after talking face to face in Romania, few months before that (our communication in between was AIM, and emails) and he told me he thinks he is in love with me, since then we talked on the phone on weekly or bi-weekly basis until I moved to the US

3.5 years ago
- he asked me if I will marry him :)

You mean everything to me...

Here is another 2 page 6x6 I made today, using the same stamp set as in the previous post. After taking the first picture I realized that the heart looks little smushed with the ink, so I riped it off and made another one (on the 3rd picture). The color combo is kraft, soft sky, very vanilla and chocolate chip. I used vintage brad, basic eyelets and linen thread as accessories, and a lot of sponging with doubers.

Always on my mind

I changed the pics, as I just took some new ones in daylight

Here are two page layout 6x6 scrapbook pages I made today. I used the Always stamp set, very vanilla, blush blossom and pretty in pink.
It has been pretty relaxing and fun day, I did some scrapbooking, considering that I am NOT a scrapbooking person and it's a real challenge to do a page, this was success. Then in the evening we had a couple come over for dinner ,and afterwards we did some artsy stuff, we painted bottles and containers to make planting pots out of them, mine are not finished yet, they are drying outside, as they had to be primed first. We had so much fun! Now I am dead tired, and probably is bed time :)
I am hoping to be back tomorrow with posting of new creations

Bargello (sp?) Infinite Goodness

Here is a bargello (sp?) card I made. I used Old Olive, Soft Sky, Barely Banana and Naturals WHite cardstock. Staz-on jet black ink and pure color pencils, as well vellum cardstock and earth elements eyelets.
First what I did was cut strips of cardstock, different widths, and then I stamped them, then colored, and put them together, I glued a piece of paper on the back so they stay together, then I turned the "new sheet of paper" (made from the strips) around (90 degrees) and I cut new strips, and then put those together. Hmmm...I am not sure if it's clear, but I may post a tutorial later.
The stamp set I used is Infinite Goodness which is level 2 Hostess set

Artist of the Week and One Set Three Cards

On the Arts and Crafts show few weeks ago I met a lady who is an event coordinator for the Lansdowne township. She really liked my work and invited me to be artist of the week on June 28th, at the Farmers Market. Each week they feature different artist, and only one artist is present at a time. More details to come.

On another note, here are 3 cards I made with the stamp set "Time Well Spent", for me its challenge to make more than 1 card with same stamp set in few days...LOL...I like the variety and to try different stamp sets.

Scrapbooking attempt

Here is a scrapbook page I made while ago. All supplies are Stampin' Up! I will try to post all the supplies used later :)

Time Spent With Friends

Here is a card I made using classy brass template " Seeing spots" and I dry embossed the flowers with the crop-a-dile (the little circles). I used the scallop punch and the boho blossoms punch to make the flowers and dry embossed the centers, and added microbeads. I used "Time well spent" set for the stems and the saying. The colors used are: regal rose, bashful blue, old olive, so saffron and appricot apeal. As well I used reach regal eyelets, bashful blue grosgrain ribbon, and crystal effects.
