Winterhaven Stamp of Approval Blog hop

Welcome to Day 2 of the Winterhaven Stamp of Approval Blog Hop! You should have come from Amy's blog (full blog list below)
If you’re new to Stamp of Approval – click here to check out everything you need to know about this amazing collection of Stamps, Dies and other goodies.
And make sure you are on the wait list so you get access to the collection at 6:00 pm Tuesday, October 10th before the public. These collections almost always sell out, so if you're liking what you're seeing on the blog hop, you'll want to make sure that you have an opportunity to get your hands on this collection! (and trust me, you do!!!!)
Christmas is my favorite time of the year for crafting, and you can never have enough Christmas stamps (and dies)!!! Trust me! Thought I may need an intervention when it comes to Christmas stuff lol. But this is my favorite SOA so far and it's so versatile!!! Pair it up with the amazing Catherine Pooler designs inks and you have cards for the win.
I like to think and create outside of the box. So when it comes to Christmas crafting I often find myself using non traditional colors.
For my first card I paired the Here we come a caroling set and the Joy wreath dies. I used few of the Catherine Pooler's designs ink pads (Rockin' red, Party dress, It's a girl and Flirty Fuchsia ) to create the the watercolor wash, then sprayed some drops onto the background. After it was dried I stamped and embossed the sentiment. The wreath was cut from Premium white card stock and I added some Nuvo drops. I adhered the panel onto Paper Source hot pink note card.

For my second card I used the Here we come A-caroling stamps and dies along with the Good Stuff dies. To create the two tone effect I used the MISTI when stamping my images. I stamped first with one color (I used soft cloth to remove some ink from the edge - aka transition area of the color, then stamped the other half. I die cut them and created my little scene.

And for my last, but not the least card I used the Ornamental Background stamp and Joy Wreath dies (only the joy sentiment) .I stamped the background on Arches hot press paper and embossed with copped embossing powder. Unsing 3 Catherine Pooler's designs inks (Something borrowed, aquatini , Fiesta blue and It's a boy) I created the watercolor wash. I adhered the strip of white and copper card stock, adhered the sentiment and added some clear drops , then adhered my panel to a card base.

1. Catherine Pooler
2. Jen Carter
3. Amy
4. Ilina - that's ME
5. Lisa
6. Ingrid
7. Chrissie
8. Kimberly

Its time not to start hopping along, BUT before you go, make sure you leave comments on each stop along the way for your chance to win!  Your next stop on the hop is Lisa

One winner will be chosen at random from EACH day's comments and announced on October 11th on Catherine's blog.  The winners will win their box and if you have already purchased it, you will be issued a Gift Certificate worth $100 towards a future purchase.

You read my mind! I was wondering last night how the Ornamental background stamp would look embossed - and now I know! (It looks amazing!) I had also planned on making a card with the wreath on top of a circle of watercolor wash, and now I know how that looks, too! Guess I'm on the right track with my ideas, huh? I just hope my cards turn out as beautifully as yours did!
