Starry Night

I had the idea of making this card for a while, and finally made it, it's kind of weird, as I took quite few pictures, but the glitter on all of them looks white on the pic in some spots.
I tried making it last night, after I sponged the background, I stamped with silver Encore ink and I smudged it...so I gave up. And started fresh today, and I stamped the image in versamark and then embossed it with silver SU ep. I applied 2 way glue in spots and on the image and added dazzling diamonds. I used night of navy and brushed silver cardstock, and night of navy narrow grosgrain ribbon. For the sponging I used bayou blue and night of navy, and chocolate chip and basic black classic inks.
Now back to packing!

Birthday Gift 1

Here is a little tin I made for a birthday gift for one of my friends, her bday is on Valentine's day, but the party will be on Friday, I made it to match the card bellow which I made few days ago. I still need to make one more card and one more tin for another friend who is celebrating her bday with the first one.

Essence of love 2

Here is another card I made with the Occassions Mini stamp set " Essence of Love",
I used shimmery white, close to cocoa, and soft sky cs, soft sky dp, versamark ink and white embossing powder, soft sky, close to cocoa and tempring turqorouise classic inks, dazzing diamonds and dimensionals.

Essence of Love

I cased the idea of the sponged background from Beate
I loved what she did and I decided to case it, though I changed it a little, with adding the butterflies as well the card base etc.
I stamped the butterflies with versamark and then embossed them with black ep, and sponged with ruby red so the background blends with the background piece. I used old olive, ruby red, glossy white and basic black cardstock, basic black, more mustard, purely pomogranate, old olive and versamark inks and black eyelets.

Valentine's card

I made this card to match the chocolate tin I made below this post. I added micro beads and dazzling diamonds to the hearts to spice it up. The patterned paper is not SU!

Valentine gift

This is the valentines gift I made for my husband, all supplies are SU! except the designers paper, aluminum foil ( the one I wrapped the York Patties), the tin and the York patties.
I used " Holidays and wishes" and "Happy hearts"_retired set. Pretty in pink and close to cocoa cardstock and inks and crystal effects. I still need to make the card.
I can say it's definitelly been a packing and crafting weekend, as I didn't have much school work this weekend, as last week was midterm week (only one HW for Microeconomics)

Merci

Since I saw this set "Merci" in the Sale-A-Bration brochure, I wasn't big fan of it, but I got it anyway. I decided to play with it today and get out from my comfort zone. At first I had no idea what to do with it, or what I wanted to do with it. I decided for the color combo (old olive, soft sky, rose red and whisper white) and I wanted to do a triangle three fold card. So here it is what came out of it:

French Flair

I cased this card from the Fall/Winter 2007 catalog, since I saw it I wanted to get this two stamp sets " French Flair" and " Carte Postale",and finally I got them. Other than the two stamp sets I used: soft sky, river rock, very vanilla and sahara sand cs, soft sky, versamark and river rock ink, white embossing powder, pretties kit and soft sky double stiched ribbon, and as well crystal effect. This seemed to be one of the more simple cards I have made lately.

Little Monkey and York Pepermint Pattie

I haven't created much lately, due to a lot of school work and today playing pretty much whole day with Photoshop (I made me a watermark)...Oh, well...I am hoping for next weekend and hoping to be home when the UPS guy will come on Friday to bring my big order from SU! I am so excited about that, to see all the new goodies.
The other day I went to Joann's to pick up some hem tape, and ended up picking up bunch of ribbon, and this cute stamp called " Monkey in grass", it was just $1, so I had to have it. I stamped it in staz on and colored with artist pastels (which my dad got me couple years ago), then instead of sealing it with a fixative, I applied gamsol. I stamped the little flowers from Little flowers stamp set and colored them with the pastels as well, I mounted the monkey on certainly celery and then on creamy caramel. I made the card base 3x3 from creamy caramel, and mounted a slightly smaller piece of certainly celery, then I stamped 'love you' from the stamp set short and sweet. On the end I adhered the little flowers with STampin' dimensionals, and applied Crystal effects to the flowers and the monkey.

This is a York Pattie I made for Valentine's day (many more to be made), I took it out from it's original package, and re-wraped it in aluminum foil, I punched a scallop circle from patterned paper(not SU), then a 1 3/8" circle from ruby red cs, and stamped the heart from "Happy Hearts"(retired) in ruby red, cut it out and adhered it with dimensionals. Pretty simple!
