Candle and a card

Here is a candle I made last night for a friend, we had dinner over their place tonight, and she was my fist hostess.
This is a card I just made tonight, I used Gadren Silhouettes- a hostess set(tonight was the first time to play with this set, since I got it two weeks ago), perfect plum, certainly celery and whisper white cardstock, and perfect plum and certainly celery Classic ink pads. I made something else too, but can't post it till Xmas

I had to delete

The previous two posts, as I just found out that my husband is checking my blog every day to see my creations, so the previous two posts were part of his Xmas gift, so I had to delete them before he sees it.

New Year's Card

I was trying to think about a New Year card for my upcoming workshop, as my hostess asked for Xmas and New Year's card. I have many ideas for the Xmas card, but I didn't know what to do about the New Year's one. So here is the first option I came up with, easy and simple

Finally some cards

Ok, so I was tired from all the school work and today's visit of the UPenn Museum of Archeology and drawing Greek and Roman sculptures for my Art History class, and I had to make some cards, I started with the reason that tomorrow is one of my friend's b-day and had to make a card for her.

I made this card for my husband, I just got Simply Said set.

I tweaked a little bit the card from the Catalog-Idea book Fall-WInter 2007, to try for our Xmas cards different ideas, so my husband can choose one design, so we can make our Xmas cards pretty soon. As well I just got this set "City of David"

I made this one with the Hostess set which I just got as well, I used Soft Sky, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink, it says tank you, but it can't be seen on the picture. If you didn't know something about me, it's I LOVE BLUE. I think Soft Sky is my favorite color. As well I tweaked the sample shown in the Catalog-Idea book Fall-WInter 2007

And this is the card I made for my friend's b-day, as well those two sets I just got, so for first time I stamped with them. I used creamy caramel, old olive, cameo coral and ruby red, and "Baroque Motifs" and "Happy Everything" sets.

Swamped with school

Wow, I haven't created much lately, school has been crazy and the weekend looks full of school work. I just made a card today ( I still need to capture it). The next three weeks will be crazy with papers, midterms, homeworks and projects. Taking 2 grad and 3 undergrad classes it not so fun, I feel like my brain is completely fried.

Floral Background and Dragonfly in flight

Pretty simple and straight forward card, I used Floral Background stamp and Sincere Salutations, Regal Rose and Whisper White card stock.

For this one I used Sincere Salutations, and the retired set "Bugs and Slugs", I used the resist technique on glossy cardstock, and used make-up sponges to color the cardstock, with Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip and Bravo Burgundy. I overstamped the dragonfly and stamped the saying with Chocolate chip. Then sprayed with fixative, so it doesn't smear.I mounted it on a Pretty in Pink cardstock, and then on a Chocolate Chip card

Quick wedding card

Half an hour ago I remembered that I didn't make a card for the wedding tomorrow. So I put one together quickly.The colors on the picture didn't come out right, the card stock is shimmery, one my dad sent me back in January.

Some techniques-oooold cards

Card for my Father in law's b-day

Webbing spray and perfect pearls.

Shaving Cream and drawing inks, then I put adhesive laminate on top, stamped with Staz-on and Brilliance ( I think) inks, put some brads...let it dry and all done!

This is made with a glue gun and some metalic-rub on-s, and sealed with Fixative.
