Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing a super fun card using the brand new release from Scrappy Tails Crafts! It's an AMAZING one! It's called Tropical Bliss.
I had a hard time deciding what to use for today's card. The winner was the Cockatoo die set, since I used to have a cockatoo back home and he was best friends with my dog. They would nap together on the couch while I was in school.
I paired him up with the Tropical Leaves die set and Tropical Birds stamp set for the sentiment.
To make the card I cut all the pieces for the cockatoo from different shades of gray and yellow/orange and brown for the branch and then the leaves from two different shades of green.
I assembled the bird and the leaves and arranged them on a piece of white card stock measuring 4" x 5 1/4". I removed the bird die cut and picked up the leaves using Press'n'seal, so they will stay in place. I added liquid adhesive on the back and then adhered to the cardstock with the help of the Press'n'seal that was still holding the die cuts. I removed the press'n'seal and made sure the glue was dry before I went and trimmed off the excess of the leaves that were sticking past the card stock panel.
I adhered the Cockatoo and stamped my sentiment.
To finish off the card I adhered it to a dark gray note card. I used stacked cardstock pieces to add dimension, but you can use foam tape or craft foam.
