Hero Arts: Sending You a Big Hug

Hi everyone!

I am up on the Hero Arts blog playing along with the Stay Crafty With Hero challenge #16 which is rainbow cards! Ihope you are excited for this month's challenge as much as I am. I love everything rainbow, especially creating my own! And the new August products are perfect for doing so. For my card I used the Sun Flare Window Fancy Die to create my rainbow.

To make the card start by die cutting the Sun Flare Window Fancy Die from a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Pitch Black cardstock. Set aside the frame and discard the "rays" (or you can save them for different project). Next, die cut the same Sun Flare Window from six different colors of cardstock to create a rainbow. The cardstock colors I used are: Amethyst, Azalea, Papaya, Canary, Kiwi, Paradise and Lapis.

You have all the pieces and can start assembling the rainbow. Adhere the frame to printer paper (this way it's easier to trim the piece using a standard paper trimmer) and inlay the pieces in to create the rainbow. Once everything is adhered and the adhesive has dried trim about 1 1/2" from the top.

Adhere it to a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Dove White cardstock, lining it up to the top. On the bottom part in the white space stamp the sentiment from the Paper Hug Stamp & Cut XL set using Intens-ified Black ink.

To finish the card, adhere the panel to a Dove White Side Folded Card.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have an amazing day!
