Hero Arts: August My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop, Giveaway + VIDEO

Hi everyone.
It's time for a new My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts.

And again, Hero Arts never ceases to amaze me with their kits and products. This month's kit is another that you don't want to miss. This month's kit is called Color My World in Friendship and is a MUST HAVE one! (sorry for yelling)

If you are following the hop you have probably arrived from Emily Midget's blog and your next stop is Jessica Frost-Ballas.
Pre-order your kit now, as it is available only until supplies last!!!

I have couple cards to share with you an a video for the first one.
For my first card I used the dies, bold prints and clear stamp set to create the card below. I started by die cutting the hands and masking them off. Then stamped the background using Soft Granite ink.
I also created a rainbow background using 1/4" of card stock and stamped the background again and embossed in white. Next, I die cut a circle and slid under the hands. To finish it off I added sentiment stamped in Embossing ink and watercolored in white. Watch the video below to see how this card came to be.

Kit Contents:
• 4" x 6" Clear Stamp Set
• Coordinating Fancy Dies
• 5.4" Square Cling Stamp
• 5.25" x 6.5" Stencil
• 3 Liquid Watercolors (Pink, Indigo, Dandelion)
• 6 5.5" x 8.5" Sheets Watercolor Paper

Kit Value: $70
Kit Cost: $34.99

For my second card I used couple add on products. The Rays of Color Stencil and the Paper Hug Stamp and Cut XL (only the stamp set). I used rainbow selection of Reactive inks to create my background onto Dove WHite card stock. When done, I trimmed it to 4" x 5 1/4", stamped the sentiment onto Pitch black card stock and added it to my panel. Added also some black enamel dots and adhered to Pitch black note card.
Giveaway: Hero Arts will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, July 11th at 11:59pm Pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.
Special Guests: Chari Moss

Fun video and I love the idea of using the grid for the strips, genius. These are such pretty cards. I really love the white space on this card continuing the stamp. Beautiful! Hero arts is so cool the way they planned that the hands were embossed on the edge so cutting is creators choice. Tee hee love the nail polish.
