Hero Arts: October My Monthly Hero Blog Hop, Giveaway + VIdeo

 Hi everyone!

Happy Monday and Welcome to the October My Monthly Hero blog hop! In this month's kit we are featuring Christmas, and in particular the theme is Nordic/Scandinavian Christmas.

I so love this kit! And you can get all kinds of different looks on your cards and projects. (On the bottom I have the card/ornament I had up on Friday for the Countdown).

If you are following the hop you have probably arrived from Emily Midgett's blog and your next stop is Jessica Frost-Ballas.

Now lets go into the cards (Video below)

I have couple cards featuring the small images, and I used them in a way to create filled in shapes. For the first one I drew a circle with pencil and stamped the images within the circles. I filled the space with little dots using markers. For the second one I did a triangle to represent a tree and did the same thing with adding dots with markers.

Once the ink was completely dry I erased the pencil lines. Stamped sentiment and embossed in white. Then assembled my cards.

Kit Contents:
• 6" x 8" Clear Stamp Set
• 12 Coordinating Frame Cuts
• 1 Ornament Shape Die
• 2 Inner Ornament Dies

• 3 Embossing Powders (Red, Glacier Blue, White Sparkle), 1/2 oz. each
• 1 Watermark & Embossing Ink Cube

Kit Value: $76
Kit Cost: $34.99

GIVEAWAY: We will give away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, October 11th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.
Pre-order your kit today - we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, October 11th and continue throughout the following week.

I'm a sucker for blue at the holidays, so that's my default fave, but I'm so enamored w/ your using the small shapes as fill-in for the traditional Christmas shapes. Very creative!

The color choices for the non-traditional card are super pretty. I love the idea of filling in the extra white space with the small dots; it is a very great touch to make a super clean but colorful card.

Great use of the tiny stamps in this kit... great cards
Your blue and white ornament is my favorite mostly because I am in love with the deer and ornament dies!! Great inspiration though with your other two cards and adding all the dots and your choice of colors really made them POP.
