December My Monthly Hero Release and Give Away

Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday! It's the first Monday of the month, which means it's time for the new My Monthly Hero kit and  Blog hop for the new December kit

Let's take a look at the main kit!

Kit Contents
6 x 8" Clear Stamp Set
12 Coordinating Frame Cuts Dies
1 Fancy Window Die
5 ink cubes (Exclusive colors only available in this kit - Sapphire, Teal Topaz, Pink Tourmaline, Ruby, Tiger's Eye)
5.25" x 6.5" Stencil
Assortment of glitter stickers

The value of the kit is nearly $80, but it is sold at $34.99.

There are also some awesome, optional add-on products this month - 3 stamp sets, coordinating dies, 4 Fancy Dies, 3 background stamps, 1 woodblock stamp, 4 new inks and a modeling paste. That's a lot of fun new products! . I think my favorite is the Henna Flower Pattern stamp

Now, you have probably arrived here from Libby's blog, and if you haven't trust me you don't want to miss her amazing projects. So go back to her blog or start from the beginning(the Hero Arts blog) and if you arrived here from her blog, then you are on the right track and your next stop will be Kelly's blog(and you don't want to miss her project, either).

Now let's move to the projects. First up is a card I had over on the Hero Arts blog on Saturday using the main kit, so for more details for this card head over the Hero Arts Blog.
My next card uses the Henna Flower Pattern stamp. I stamped it few times using Versamark onto black card stock and embossed with Gold embossing powder. Next I colored it with Prismacolor and Chameleon Pencils. I stamped the sentiment from the main kit and embossed with gold.

This, next card, was really tough to photograph because of all of the "shimmer and shine", as the sentiment says, too. I used the new modeling paste and applied to Navy card stock and the stencil from the main kit. I created the circle by masking part of the stencil with masking paper and circle infinity die. While it was still wet I applied gold embossing powder. Let it dry. After it was dry I heat set the powder, stamped and embossed the sentiment, then applied Sparkle shimmer spray.

Last, but not the least is this card, which again I had hard time photographing. I stamped the Mandala on black card stock (sorry, lots of black today, it was my mood this weekend) and embossed with gold. Then using FineTeC mica watercolors I colored it in. I stamped the sentiment on piece of black card stock, embossed with gold and die cut with circle infinity die. I assembled the card and spritzed over it using Sparkle Shimmer Spray

I really like what you did on that second card. That one's my favorite, but the mandala card was great, too. Honestly, I really loved all of your cards, but those 2 are at the top of my list.

Oooo, yes please! I've been waiting for someone to color in the mandala with colored pencils, and I was not disappointed! So beautiful how the gold and the colors just pop off the black background. Actually, the black background was a great idea for all these cards. The gold and black card is so elegant; I feel classier just looking at it. And, in my opinion, the finetecs are best used on black paper. They just go to a whole new level on black, and with that mandala? Perfection. Thank you for such great ideas and inspiration!

This new My Monthly Hero kit and your cards remind me a lot of the game Prince of Persia, but the original 1990s version. I used to play it on my PC and on Game Boy. Wow....

Love your Henna flower project and will definitely try your recommendation
I love the beautiful backgrounds that you created, each one so different from the next. I never thought of putting embossing powder on the modeling paste. It really gives the background a lot of texture and shine. I must try that when I get my kit!! Thanks.
