MISTI meets Kitchen Sink (and a VIDEO)

Hi stampers!
Happy Monday and welcome to the Kitchen Sink Stamps and My Sweet Petunia blog hop. Did you know that Kitchen Sink stamps is celebrating their 10 year anniversary (and they are having a sale, too, details on the bottom of this post)
If you started the hop from the beginning you should have arrived here from Maria's blog blog. If you didn't head over to her blog, because you don't want to miss her beautiful projects!

And from here your next stop will be Jeanne's blog :)

For my cards today I used the Zinnia stamp set and did few cards using different colors and techniques.
For the first cards I did stamping on white card stock, which all of you are very familiar with. The Zinnia flower has FIVE layers which gives it this amazing detail and makes it so realistic. I am still in awe. And it's so easy to line up with the MISTI and mass produce.

For my second set of two cards I stamped on kraft card stock. In order to have the colors pop up I stamped first the most solid layer using Hero Arts unicorn ink, let it dry ( or heat set it) and then stamped on top of it with the same choice of colors like the previous cards that were stamped on white card stock. I am really liking the effect. It adds one more step to the card, but well worth it.

Again, I will have video by the end of the week!

I just love zinnias because they are a flower that comes in so many different colors. Love how you have used the large sentiment with it. I have those zinnias and I will definitely be trying that idea of adding the larger sentiment or diecut words with it the next time I use it. TFS
What a beautiful quartet of cards! Each one is exquisite! I especially love the pink on white Zinnias! All of the flowers are so realistic that I can almost smell the scent! TFS!

I seem to be stuck on using white cardstock for my KSS stamping. I really like the look of your zinnias on the kraft and will have to step outside of my box from now on. Thanks for the tip!

These zinnias are gorgeous and even more impressive on kraft! When I was a girl, I grew zinnias from seed and always thought of them as my special flower. Would love to win a Misti...since I've never even tried one!
