Hi Stampers!
Welcome to the Hero Arts 2017 Summer Catalog Blog hop!
Again, this is a long post, so bear with me. I have videos for most of the cards here, I will be posting them later today. I spend couple hours dealing with my camera because it didn't want to read my SD card, so I wasn't able to photograph my pictures (nothing like waiting for the last minute) . So come back later for the video tutorials ;)
So, if you are bored hop on over to Libby's blog to see her amazing creations! You can scroll down to the bottom of this post for the full hop list, along with the give aways details!
You can see the entire summer collection HERE
So, let's get started. For my first card I used the color layering Parrot. I used several inks to stamp the parrot (I have all supplied linked at the bottom of this post) and 5 bold inks to sponge the background (summer sky, green apple, dandelion, tangerine and strawberry. I used the MISTI tool in order to achieve multi color stamping. will show you how to do this in the video coming later today. (so please come back) I used Chameleon Pencils to color in around the parrot and his face.
FOr the next few cards I used the I love bold background and share handmade kindness die. I stamped in versamark on black card stock, and then embossed in white and clear. I used the oval infinity dies to cut the ovals from white card stock, and adhered the die cut sentiments. On the card that the background was embossed with clear embossing powder I didn't use the white oval, but directly adhered the sentiment. I used Stick it adhesive on the back of the sentiments before I die cut them. I applied versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder on the die cut sentiments.
Next, are these cute shaped cards/invitations using the new Nesting Monsters fancy dies. I used the two largest. Masked circle (made with the circle infinity dies) and used the new deco pattern stencil to cover the belly that we masked. I stamped sentiment, embossed in white embossing powder, added the googly eyes, drew the mouth and added the noses.
Next, I made this clean and simple card using the Believe in Yourself Narwhal set , I stamped the images, colored, adhered to card base and added some sparkle pen and gems.
Next ,is a card using the paper layering Shark and the Killer messages. I die cut the shark on watercolor paper, then watercolored with Daniel Smith watercolors, dried, then stamped the sentiment in black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
For this card I won't have a video, but it's pretty simple. I stamped the Scribble bold prints stamp on watercolor paper with versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Next colored with Peerless watercolors. Stamped the sentiment on black card stock and embossed with white embossing powder. Die cut it and adhered to my card.
Last, but not the least, is colored monster from one of the new stamp and cut sets. I AM in LOVE with all the monsters in this catalog.

Love the little monster dies.
thanks for sharing so many
fun things.
Totally in love with the Narwhal card and all of the kindness cards warm my heart! I try to send anywhere from 5-25 Just Because/Hugs/Kindness/RAK cards out each week and on the rare times I actually leave my home and go somewhere I love leaving cards in store aisles or doctor offices that are in envelopes telling the finder to open them! I often tuck a little treat of some kind inside the card to give an even bigger smile to the recipients! TFS!
