MISTI Sale and my last post for So Suzy stamps - Go with the flow

Hi Stampers!
Before I go into sharing my card I just wanted to let you know that Iliana from My Sweet Petunia is having a MISTI Sale ( 15% off) that came with the recent review at Splitcoast Stampers and 5% of all sales will go to the KIND Campaign. If you are not familiar with the KIND Campaign find out more HERE.
To get the 15% off use the coupon code SCSKIND (note: the sale ends today 9/15).

Head to the My Sweet Petunia website to get your MISTI today, or few of them ;) and pick up some card guards while you are there (this is the new product Iliana released few months ago, and are perfect for mailing bulky cards, so they don't get squished in the mail)

Now onto the card, and as I mentioned in the title of the blog post, this is my last post for the So Suzy SAM DT. It's been pleasure and honor to work with Suzy the past few months.
I used the September stamp (Coral) to stamp on the bottom of my panel. First I stamped with Hero Arts Vintage rust ombre ink, then embossed with the Hero Arts clear embossing powder and used my Distress inks to blend some color in. I wanted to make an unusual and warm looking background, compared to your usual blue under the sea themes.
Next I stamped the turtle (this was from Hero Arts MMH kit couple months ago) with the same ombre ink, then on top I stamped with the Hero Arts green ombre ink using the MISTI tool, so it was perfectly lined up. Because I had first stamped with pigment ink, the image was still wet and I was able to emboss it with clear embossing powder. Next I added some color to the turtle using the same ombre ink pad and daubers
I wanted more color to the corals, so I stamped the images again using the green ombre ink pad, and then the pink neon ombre ink pad. To finish up my card I added bubbles using the brown ombre ink pad and added the sentiment using the green ombre ink pad.
Then die cut the panel using the Hero Arts infinity rectangle dies and mounted my panel with some craft foam to a Hero Arts note card.
