Skipping Stones Designs Blog Hop

Hi stampers!
Welcome to the October Skipping Stones Design Tip/Technique blog hop! I am so excited to be hopping over the other team member's blogs and seeing all the wonderful creations and tips and techniques.
If you started the blog hop from the Skipping Stones Design blog, then you probably ended up here from Deane's  blog and her wonderful project.
Now let's move onto the card I have today and my tip:)
I used the Joy stamp set to create my card and the red Hero Arts ombre ink pad. I stamped my image and sentiment from the Joy stamp set onto white linen card stock. Then I die cut my image and adhered it to white linen card base. Added some pom pom trim and velvet ribbon and some Pico clear embellisher on the reindeer and the stars.
Now, onto the tip :) In order to stamp the sentiment only from the whole stamp (the sentiment is enclosed in an ornament), I did little dissection of the stamp. Using craft knife or paper snips you can carefully cut out the sentiment from the middle of the stamp, and voila you have two separate stamps now.

Leave a comment for a chance to win a stamp set from Skipping Stones Designs! Heather will randomly select a winner!
Now, head on over to Giovanna's blog and check out her wonderful creation and the tip/technique she has prepared for you!

Pretty card! Love the pom pom trim, adds a fun touch! Thanks for the tip, the first time I cut a stamp it felt almost criminal! But it does make the more versatile!

What a pretty card with the red and white. I have only cut a few stamps but it's like getting two in one!

Beautiful card and a great tip. I have done stamp surgery a few times, but I think cutting something out of the center of a stamp might be above my pay-grade! Ha.
