Royal Blog Tour - Fall 2010

I am so pleased that you are visiting at this time.
I choose to showcase the Aviary set for you. This is one of my new favorite sets that came out with the new Idea Book and Catalog and plus I have some candy for you (details on the bottom of the post)
I made few projects to show you.
Since this set is focused on birds, I thought what better would be than a bird house. I made the bird house out of Marina Mist, Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie card stock and used the Scallop Border punch to decorate the roof. The birds are stamped with Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie Classic ink pads and the bird house is decorated using Marina Mist Classic Ink and the Confetti stamp set. All the edges are sponged.
The house opens from the top so you can put a gift or treats inside.

And of course if we have a gift, we need a card. So I made a matching card to go with the bird house box. I used the Cute Curly Set. I used the Top Note BigZ die for the background layer and added some Subtles Designer buttons on the side.

And my second project for you is a gift card holder, and again a card to go with it. If you give a gift, you need a card. My color combination for this project is Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso. I used the Fabulous Phrases set for the sentiment. As well I used a lot of pearls and the Dotted Ribbon Border punch. For additional interest I added some Early Espresso Satin ribbon to the card.
