Butterflies, we are good

Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday! I am so stinkin' tired today. Like that is any news. But I am glad the weekend is over. 4 days at home seemed so long. LOL. I know few days ago I mentioned that we got our Thanksgiving dinner from Whole Foods. Well...on Thursday morning I went to pick it up by myself. It was one of those rare times when I went somewhere alone. These days that happens very rarely. I always have a kid attached to my hip. So...I was alone and I was in the check out line. And I was all done and everything was bagged up, when the guy who was bagging my stuff asked me if I needed help to get the stuff to my mini van and my response was "No, we are good".... I was all alone...Probably they thought I was counting my imaginary friend, or I was refering to "me, myself and I" or most likely that I was one of those crazy ladies. I was trying to get out of the awkward situation that I put myself into and said" I mean, I am good, I always have at least one of my kids with me and I am used to say "We" all the time" LoL. I don't even want to know what they were thinking.
Anyway, today I have a simple card for you that uses Stampin' Up! supplies. And when I say SIMPLE, it's really simple. I stamped the butterfly in three different colors and then die cut the sentiment and adhered it to my white card base card. Voila :)

A bit of kindness for the person behind me in the Starbucks Drive Thru

Hi stampers!
This is post #2 for today, so scroll down   for my post where I confess what I had for lunch today. Don't judge!
The past few  days I got a chance to make bunch for cards  as part of the Kindness campaign over at Jennifer McGuire's blog. This week the challenge was to share handmade kindness with strangers. So since  I meet strangers on daily basis I decided to make bunch of cards. I made 3 designs and this is the firs one. I am keeping this stack of cards in my car and whenever I go to the Starbucks drive through I pay the next person's order and ask the Barista to hand one of these cards to the person behind me. I am putting removable notes inside, so they can share kindness with another person. Hope the kindness goes around. ;)

For this card I used Wplus9 sets Fresh Cut Flowers and More Fresh Cut flowers. I used bunch of inks to stamp the images and I used my MISTI to make mass producing easier. I used Wplus9, Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts ink pads. The sentiment is from the Kindness stamp set from Hero Arts and I stamped it using the new Stampin' Up! Black archival ink pad. I love how crisp black it is.

Let's shell-ebrate because I had chocolate for lunch

Hi stampers!
Happy Sunday! Hope you all had a great weekend (long weekend) and that you are ready for the new week ahead of you. I am back to work tomorrow and in a way I am looking forward going back to work ... lol... my three little monkeys went crazy the past few days, so I need little break lol. Today we went to church and then went to the International Store where I get stuff I used to buy back home (foodwise) because I wanted to pick up some things for my mom to send her a care package and we ended up buying bunch of chocolate for us, so I ended up eating chocolate for lunch. LoL. And I am not ashamed of it. LoL. It was the best lunch in a while. ;)
Now, that I am done with my confession, lets move to my card I have to share with you today. I did some more no line coloring with Copic markers. I used one of the Paper Smooches stamp sets and stamped the turtle in very pale ink (I believe it was Sand Memento ink pad) and then colored it with my copic markers, at the end I drew the eye using Copic Multiliner pen. Then I assembled my card. I did  clean and simple design with a piece of patterned paper that I have been hoarding forever on the bottom.

Enjoy, and come back tomorrow for more creations ;)

Throw Kindness Around

Hi Stampers!
Happy Saturday! Hope you all had good  Black Friday. I know we did, we didn't leave the house. LoL. I hate going out in crowds, so we never actually do Black Fridays, so we stayed home and relaxed as much as we could with 3 kids and enjoyed some Thanksgiving leftovers. I did some online shopping  for some more stamps, like I need more. But you can't pass a good sale. Actually yesterday I did more shopping. We got my oldest one her first big girl bed. I think it's about time that we move her from toddler bed to a twin bed. So we ordered the bed, the mattress and My Little Pony bedding. She has been wanting My Little Pony bed forever. So we decided that it will be her 4th birthday gift which is in less than couple weeks from now. As well I got some wall decals to match the bedding and planning  to remove  the current ones that are Under the Sea theme, which  was her baby room theme when she was born. I didn't want to do pink, so did something more neutral and since I love the ocean and the color blue, I did Under the Sea, but incorporated purple as much as I could, so it doesn't look boy-ish.

Anyway, now onto the card. I used one of my favorite sets from Honey Bee Stamps called Beautiful life and playing along with Jennifer McGuire's #sharehandmadekindness challenge and this week is for strangers. I made bunch of other cards (which I will share in the next couple days) and along  with this one I am planning to give them away to strangers as I go by my day, whether I go to Sbux, the bank, the gym etc.

I used my Zig Clean Brush markers to make the background, then stamped in versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. TO finish it up I added some sequins.

Enjoy ;)

Get Well Soon

Hi stampers!
Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was nice and quiet. In the morning I went to pick up our meal from Whole Foods and couple more items, then we just chilled home with the kids. We don't have family close by, so we just do our own thing. And with the craziness the past few weeks I didn't feel like cooking and wanted to avoid creating mess in the kitchen, so I just ordered our Thanksgiving meal . When I got back home I told my middle child (Milena, who is 2): You are my turkey and she turned to me and said: No, you are turkey. LoL. She is our silliest kid.

Today is the last Friday of the month, so it means it's time for the Skipping Stones Design stamp and share challenge. This week is anything goes challenge.  So I decided to play with one of my favorite sets : Heartsong 2 and do a watercolor wash background for my image. I used watercolor paper and my Zig Clean Color markers for the background. Then stamped the image with Versafine Onix black ink pad. I mounted my image onto white panel that I embossed using on of the We R Memory keepers Next level embossing folders and mounted on Soft Stone card base. I really like the dimension on the white panel.

Thank you for your kindness

Hi stampers!
I am back today with another share. But before I go into the card I wanted to say that I can't believe that the work week is pretty much over. Couple more hours to go, and then we have 4 day weekend. Well havinf 3 little ones, doesn't feel like a weekend, but hey...I'll take it. My kids crack me up.
I just remembered while we were in Florida with my oldest one, we were going in elevators quite a bit (hotel and hospital), so I was teaching Anna the numbers and then the alarm button. I told her that we press that button only if we are stuck in the elevator. So, the next day we are going up in the elevator and she points to the alarm button and says "Mommy, we press this button when we are stuck in the alligator". I couldn't stop laughing. I sure hope we never get stuck in an alligator.
Now onto the cards, I made those about 2 weeks ago for the nurses at the hospital that my mom is staying in and I took them with me when we were there. I was playing along Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness challenge and actually I CASE-d her design. I just used besides Vintage ROses set, the Vintage Flowers set from Altenew and used the Kindness set from Hero Arts. I added some Wink of Stella (clear) on the flowers which can't be seen on the pictures.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy Thanksgiving tomorrow (if you are in the US)

Love ya

Hi Stampers!
Happy Tuesday! I keep thinking that it's Thursday, probably because it's a short work week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. I can't believe that this year is almost over. Where did the time go??!?! This year I decided that we are not going to cook the Thanksgiving meal, but order it from Whole Foods. With all the craziness life has brought the past few weeks I have no energy or desire to cook. And on top of that I don't want to deal with all the mess that would happen in the kitchen as the result of all the cooking. Instead at 9am on Thursday I will drive to Whole Foods and pick up our Turkey and our sides. However, Sean will actually cook one dish (his famous Oyster dressing- family recipe) and probably I will end up making a pumpkin pie or another desert, or just pick it up at whole foods when I go to pick up the turkey, depending how I feel that morning...lol.

Just a reminder I have card sets for sale HERE

Now, onto my card I have for you today. It's a simple white on white card using Lily of the Valley calendar fairies stamp (February) and my Chameleon Pens. I stamped the image onto Neenah white card stock and colored it with my Chameleon Pens, then stamped the sentiment from one of the Paper Smooches sets I own. Then using one of the MFT blueprint dies I cut the image. Then the panel underneath was embossed with one of the We R Memory keepers Next Level embossing folders and mounted onto white card base. Then I added the image panel with dimensionals so it pops up a little. To finish my card off I added some sequins!

Enjoy!

Happy Holidays and cards for sale

                                                        TEA AND COFFEE POT CARDS

Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday! I am back from Florida and back to blogging. Our trip was ok. My mom had surgery on Thursday and she's recovering well. We were at the hospital till almost 10pm on Thursday (we had 7am flight from Atlanta and went straight to the hospital). I am so proud of my almost 4yr old, she didn't complain a single time were were there. And on Thursday she was up since 5am. She's my tough little cookie.  However my mom has long road ahead of her. They did confirm that the tumor is cancerous(lung cancer that spread to the brain) and after she recovers a little bit she'll need to undergo radiation and chemo. We just need to take it one step at a time.
In my previous post I mentioned that I will be selling some card sets to raise some money to help with our trips to Florida and back and other costs with the situation (as we are currently on one salary, as I am the only one working). --scroll down for the available card sets, usually it's about 5 days to ship the sets, as they are made to order. I have few sets ready to go, so the first people to order will ship faster.
The card sets are $10 each plus shipping. If you order more than 1 card set I will issue refund for the shipping.
And now onto little sneak of a card I have up today on the Chameleon Blog.

Joyful Holiday Wishes card set (5 cards and envelopes) $10 +shipping (US, if outside the US email me for shipping quote)

Joyful Holiday Wishes

Hi Stampers!
Welcome back.  It's almost Friday! Today actually I am on my way to Florida, as my mother has brain surgery to remove the tumor on her brain, so please pray for us, her, the doctors. It'll be a long surgery (200min) and if the surgery is successful she'll need to undergo chemo and radiation to treat the lung cancer (the mass that is actually on her lungs). Things can go good and things can go bad, so please pray for us. I will be posting some card sets for sale, to help us with the costs involved. We are currently on one salary (since hubby's position was terminated about a month ago), so every dollar counts and this just adds more financial stress.
Today I have  to share with you another card set I made for a craft fair little while ago. I used Papertrey Ink mini Make it Market kit called Holiday Folk, and some Lawn Fawn patterned paper. The design is CASE-ed from Maile Belles. I just love her simple designs and color combination she uses.
Actually I will have these card sets for sale and the ones I posted few days ago. They will all be made to order. So allow about a week to be shipped ( from next Monday, since I will be out until Sunday)

Christmas Tags

Hi Stampers!
Happy Hump Day! As I said before it's been crazy week. My mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer last Saturday that has met in the brain. So, I am still in shock. She will have caniotomy this Thursday to remove the tumor and do biopsy and we'll go from there.I will be flying there with my Anna.
Because all the craziness life brought this week I have quick post for you today. This is one of the kits in the Holiday Catalog by Stampin' Up! I got the kit and the coordinating stamp set for my almost 4yr old and myself to make some Christmas tags and oh boy, did we have fun. I need to take picture of the tags we made, but for now I leave you with these ones ;)
I will take pictures some time next week and will post them. She did really good job making the tags.

Wishing you a sweet holiday

Hi Stampers!
I have little ornament I made to share with you today. I used some Papertrey ink goodies and I CASE-ed it from Betsy Veldman. I Used some dies from the Holiday Make it Market kit along with the Petite Places: Holiday Lane set and coordinating dies. As well I used the tiny LED lights to put under the house, so it looks like the lights are on.
Hope you enjoy this project. I can't wait to put it on on our Christmas tree!

Peace and Strenght

Hi stampers!
Happy Monday! It has been wind-whirl of a weekend. We found out some bad news, but I am not going to go into that until we talk to the family and they know what is going on. But please send positive thoughts and prayers for my mom and her health.
Today I have pretty simple card for you that I made using the Altenew set Orikami. I stamped the elephant with very light ink and then colored it with my warm gray selection of copic markers. Then I added some patterned paper on my white card base and stamped the sentiment. To finish it up I adhered the image using dimensionals.
Pretty simple, huh? ;)

Christmas Blessings

Hi stampers!
I have set of simple Christmas cards for you today. I made these for a Craft Fair I was taking part of little while ago. I used one of Betsy Veldman's Pettite Places set and die (The Nativity One) and sentiment set from Dawn McVey (both sets/dies are made by Papertrey ink).
I stamped the images and sponged the background using Dark Chocolate ink from SSS and Crumb Cake ink from Stampin' Up!, then  I adhered the panel onto white card base. The front panel is cut from PTI white Linen Card stock to just add little more texture and dimension to the cards.
These sets will be up for sale on my Store page, soon. I am still in process of setting up my store page.

Skipping Stones Design blog hop - two tone watercoloring

Hi stampers!
Welcome to another tip technique blog hop.  For today's card I am using one of the new release sets Hippo Birthday. I stamped the images and sentiments on watercolor paper panel using Versafine Onix black ink and then colored  with my Zig clean color  markers and aqua painter. IN order to get the two toned hippo I colored with pink on the lower pars and purple on the upper parts, then using my aqua painted I moved the purple color down and the pink up, until they met and blended at the "Seams"
Make sure you hop on over to the blogs of the rest of the DT and check out the tips/techniques they have in store for you today.

Christmas Jamies

Hi everyone!
I am back today to share a simple card with a sweet image, which is actually a digital stamp made by Just ME Digital Stamps by Elena Roussakis . I love her images. I altered the original image to add another girl (I just combined two identical images and removed the boy from the second one to create image with a boy and two girls to reflect my kids ;))
Then I printed it on Fabriano hot press watercolor paper and colored it with my aqua painter and distress markers, then diecut the panel and adhered it on Pure Poppy PTI card stcok base which was stamped with versamark and Snowflake Sparkle set from PTI and die cut along the edges. Then I just added a bow made from May Arts 1/8" red velvet ribbon :)
I am planning this to be my kids' pediatrician and nurses in the offices Christmas card. #sharehandmadekindness
