Fabulous Friday challenge - You make me happy

This is post #2 for today. I know I didn't plan of posting twice today, but as soon  as I saw the Fab Friday challenge I had to post :). I made a card yesterday and it matched the colors of the challenge, so I decided to post it. I kept the card simple. I used Perfect Banners stamp set and Fresh Prints dsp stack.
The sequins are not SU! but I just had to add  them :)

Now off to bed, hoping this stupid cold will go away.

You are the best

Happy Friday!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday :) As for me, I got a cold, so I am sharing an old card and a MDS card that I received from Andrea Whiters from Stampin' Up! as a thank you for making samples for the Display Boards for Convention last year.
I believe I did share all of the samples I did while back, but once more it was so fun making the samples!!!
And I love what she did with the MDS card! And how at the end she added some dazzle :)
On the bottom is a card I made using Petal Parade and Simply Celebrate stamp sets, one from SAB one from the Occasions Mini catalog. As well the dsp is from the SAB catalog and it's called Sweet Sorbet. For some reason I didn't like how the card turned out. But, we all have those kinds of cards, right?
I will be back tomorrow with some samples using the Tea for Two kit and another Occasions Mini sample:)

Happenings Hello

I just noticed that lately i have been making a lot of cards that say HELLO. I wonder why. For this card I used the Happenings Simply Sent card kit from the Occasions Mini catalog and added some Strawberry slush card stock for the layer of the first one and the little strip under the sentiment. I used as well the Simply Celebrate sentiment Hello on both cards. Those as simple and super easy to make. I love this card kit!

We are on snow day #2 (or 3 if you count Tuesday), but things should be opening up around noon, and snow should melt as temperatures will get above 32 F around 1pm. But daycare is closed today, so we're home and working from home :) and on top of the snow I got a cold from somewhere. fun, well not so much :)

Hello Friend

We have a snow day today, so we stayed in with the girls. I took my 2 yr old outside yesterday while it was still snowing, and she's not a fan of the snow.  The roads are still frozen and state of emergency was declared. There were bunch of people stuck on the road, their 16 mile commute turned out to be like 12-24 hrs. It's was crazy out there. Glad I left work around 1 pm and my 2 mile commute was 30 min.

Now onto the card, I tried to be CAS, though I used few layers. The base is Coastal Cabana, then on top of it I did So Saffron layer and then Retro Fresh dsp layer.  I cut a strip of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the Hello Friend sentiment from the Peachy Keen stamp set in Soft Suede ink. Then stamped and cut the camera using Very Vanilla card stock and Coastal Cabana ink. On the edges I added some Retro Fresh washi tape and on the bottom of the strip Coastal Cabana ruffled ribbon.

Seriously?

Hope your weekend was good. Ours was laid back, and we didn't do much besides grocery shopping and church.
And we supposed to get snow tomorrow. It's kind of  funny that here 1/2" to 2" of snowfall is called snowstorm, while back home snow storm was 5 feet of snow. Hopefully we won't lose electricity.
Here's a card I made while ago (in April last year) using the  Aptil MPP kit. It one of the most popular My Paper Pumpkin kits so far.
Do you know that is you sign up this month for paper pumpkin you will get a set of InColor markers for free. Isn't that cool. The subscription is only $19.95. You can subscribe HERE

Geometrical pennants

Here is another card that is similar to the one I posted yesterday, using the chalk talk framelits and the scallop tag topper punch, as well Perfect Pennants stamp set. But this time I used as well the set "Geometrical" and the coordinating triangle punch. The color I used are : real red, coastal cabana and Crumb Cake.
I built hexagons using the triangle punch outs.

Perfect pennants

Happy Saturday!
This week went by kind of fast, I guess because I was busy at work and at home (with two little ones is always busy :)

For today's card I CASE-d my sideline and friend Kristin Kortonick. She came up with a brilliant idea to layer one of the chalk talk framelits with a punch out using the new tag toppers punches ( I used the scallop one). You punch your piece of card stock on both sides and voila. The piece needs to be 2" x 3 1/4".
Isn't Kristin awesome? As well I CASE-d the layout I used for the card. When I saw it on her blog I just fell in love with it.
As you can see I used bunch of new things from the new Occasions Mini catalog.

Really Good Greetings

Here's an really old card that I have never posted as I couldn't get a good photo, the white ink was never visible, so it looked like a coastal cabana empty rectangle on the card. I think finally I got results I am satisfied with.
For this card I used the set Really Good Greetings and some Soho Subway dsp.
The colors are: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Canatloupe. I stamped the sentiment in Whisper White craft ink :)

Monster hugs

I think I am starting to get this photopgraphing with DSLR down. I like better the pictures I took today of my projects. I am playing with the manual focus and different settings as well custom white balance. My pictures required minimal editing in PSE. I like how I can focus on a point and the rest of the picture gets blurred out.

Anyway....

There is not much to say how I made these Monster hugs, they come in a kit, you just put some candy in (there is a sticky thing to attach the candy), wrap the hand around, interlock them and stick the little heart.

I love the little monster bottoms, they are so cute, just like baby bottoms ;)

You can order the Monster hugs (each pack makes 18 and there are two different colors as shown in the picture (they are in separate packs)) from my Online SU! store

Hearts a flutter

Here is another card I made using the More Amore kit and the Hardwood background stamp from the Occasions catalog.  I still have couple more More Amore kits available
I played some more with my camera and the picture on the bottom I think looks much better than the first one I took the other day. I still haven't found the perfect camera setting that works for me (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance etc) but I am working on it. I took so many pictures yesterday that I don't remember which setting was the best. I should have written it down.
Now onto the card, the base is Strawberry Slush and I stamped the background using  Strawberry slush ink.  Then on top I added the elements (doily, ribbon, the love expressions diecut , and the layered heart)

Banner Blast meets Hardwood

I have been playing with my new camera and still learning how to use the manual mode on my DSLR. So hopefully the pictures I am taking will be getting better. So bare with me until I get this thing down.
But I do love my new light box. I need to put it on a desk instead sitting on the floor, that way I can put my camera on tripod so it's more steady than in my hands :)
I still need to play with the ISO, the shutter speed etc. I am getting a macro lens, too, for better close up pictures.

Now onto the card, I used the supplies from the More Amore kit I have for sale. And used the background stamp "Hardwood" for the background. First I didn't stamp anything in the background, but the card looked naked. I will share that one later, just for comparison.

You can see the More Amore kit -->HERE

So I played little more with my camera and the manual settings and here's a better picture of the card, that is not so pale :)

Petal Parade Hello

Hi again,

I was planning to post this card earlier today, but got wrapped up in the kitchen.I was making a month worth of meals plus baby food, so it took longer than I expected, well I had high expectation that I can be very fasst and make month worth of meals in 2 hrs. Boy, was I wrong.

Anyway....here's another clean and simple card I made using Petal Parade (SAB set) and Simply Celebrate from the Occasions catalog.
The card stock I used is; Pool Party and Whisper white and the ink pads are: Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit.

Hope you like it :)
