Sunshine awards

About time I posted here. I received 7 sunshine awards in the past week and I have procrastinated in putting it up.

I received these awards from the following wonderful ladies:

Terri Brennan

Juliana Bibas

Tina Taves

Monika Davis

Jean Fitch

Sage Kimble

Cathy Snipes

Thank you ladies! I am totally flattered.

I am supposed to pass it on, but I am going to let you decide who you think should get the award, copy and paste the award to your computer and pass it onI suppose to pick 12x7 =84 people to pass it on, and that's quite too many. There are so many wonderful blogs out there.

Here are the rules for the Sunshine Award:

Put the Sunshine Award on your blog and/or within your post.
Pass the award to 12 other bloggers.
Link the nominees within your post.
Let them know they received this award by leaving a comment on their blog.
Share the love and link to the person from whom you received the award.

I Love you, friend

Poll on the side bar

There is one more UStamp pass I have to give away. Click HERE to read how you can win the last FREE UStamp Pass.

Hi all,

I just put up a poll on the side bar, top of the first side bar. I was just wondering if you ladies (and gentlemen, if there are any) will be interested in participating in a club.
I have been thinking of 2 options for clubs:

1. card club, where you get supplies to make about 5 cards each month, you can subscribe for 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months and I will mail you supplies and email you directions to make different cards, each month will feature different stamp set.

2. product club, this required particular amount of people (6) to go for 6 months and each one places order of $25(before tax and shipping) per month and each member takes turn in being a hostess and receiving the hostess benefits.

Or leave me a message here, with suggestions what you would like to see on my blog, or what you will be interested in. Please be constructive :)

THANK YOU!!!!

Mother's day cards for a customer

There is one more UStamp pass I have to give away. Click HERE to read how you can win the last FREE UStamp Pass.

While ago I made couple of these cards, which I CASE-d from Kirsty Brown , a demonstrator from Australia.Well I got a customer order for 5 of these cards but saying Happy Mother's Day. I went little firther, as I needed some Birthday cards and a card for my mother in law.
FYI I don't mention that I am making anything for my mom, since we don't have Mother's day in Europe. We have the international women's day which is on March 8th. So don't think I am a bad daughter ;-) I really like how these cards came out.

To answer few questions, many people have been asking me what is my job. LOL. Are you ready for the answer, it's nothing art or crafts related. Here's the scoop. I work as an E3000 Electrical Power Engineer for Siemens Energy Inc. ( Siemens is an German company). E3000 means I work in the Excitation system group, where we are 4 engineers. It's a small group and many times we are swamped with projects. Excitation systems are used in Power Plants where the electrical energy is produced.
Excitation systems have a powerful impact on generator dynamic performance and availability, it ensures quality of generator voltage and reactive power, i.e. quality of delivered energy to consumers.
Main functions of excitation system are to provide variable DC current with short time overload capability, controlling terminal voltage with suitable accuracy, ensure stable operation with network and/ or other machines, contribution to transient stability subsequent to a fault, communicate with the power plant control system and to keep machine within permissible operating range
After we design and build these systems we test them in a test cell where we work with very high current and voltage ( 600V and current up to 1000A)

Now the eye candy :))) Enjoy!

Stationery Set- Wishing you

There is one more UStamp pass I have to give away. Click HERE to read how you can win the last FREE UStamp Pass.

So, this is another customer order I had to make. LoL. I have been busy with custom orders lately. I feel flattered when people order from my Etsy shop or when they see something that was sold and they want the same thing. I have created very similar stationery set last year and I put it up in my Etsy shop. Little while ago a lady contacted me asking if she can order same one. So here is the one I made for her little while ago. I was busy with the Summer Mini Sneak Peeks that I didn't get a chance to share it. LoL
I used old olive, groovy guava and chocolate chip (and whisper white)
The stamp set is not SU! one.

ENJOY!

Stitched Exotics Stamped Silk Scarf

There is one more UStamp pass I have to give away. Click HERE to read how you can win the last FREE UStamp Pass.

Here is another scarf I made for a customer. I made 3 more of the same design for my Etsy store. I used the same technique described in the previous post, just used different stamp set and different color craft inks.

stamps: Stitched Exotics (retired)
ink: craft: Rose red, close to cocoa, old olive and regal rose.

ENJOY! :)

Blossom Abound silk scarf

As I promised, here is the scarf I created little while ago for a custom order in my Etsy store.

I used:
silk scarf,
craft inks: pale plum, perfect plum, old olive and always artichoke
other details: first wash the scarf in cold water with mild detergent, and NO softener. Then dry it and iron it (low setting). Stamp it. And throw it in the dryer for another 30-40 min to set the inks. Iron it. And you are done :)

I wonder what took them so long? LOL Well deserved credit as you do fantastic work! I love your tutorials and creativity! So many times I've purchased a stamp set just because you showed some beautiful creations with it! Congratulations to you, Ilina! Thanks for handing out a free pass! Whoever wins will love it.

And now onto the details for the 2nd Free Pass.
For each order from my SU! website or my tutorials of $50 or more you will be entered once in the drawing. You have until April 29th to enter the drawing. For example if you place an order with me through my SU! website of $100 and order tutorials/instructions for $50, your name will be entered three times into the drawing ( 2 times for the SU! order and 1 time for the tutorials purchase). Clear as a mud? I will randomly draw a winner on April 30th.

If you have questions feel free to ask. :))

Have fun and ENJOY!!!

p.s. I have some stuff to share that I created for a customer order while ago, I still need to edit the pictures for it though. I will post is ASAP :))) (as well the sunshine awards, I am sorry it's taking me long time.... today has been another crazy day too)

Happy Mother's Day Stationery

Note: I will post the blog candy winner tomorrow (free UStamp pass) and details how to enter in the drawing for the 2nd free UStamp Pass Hey Big Shot!). As well I received quite few Sunshine awards from several wonderful ladies, I will post those too ---THANK YOU for the awards :)

It's been a crazy day. It was pouring outside and Sean and I went to couple Bosnian Supermarkets about 25 miles away and a bakery. It felt like a trip back home. We got lots of groceries from my part of the world ;-) Things I grew up with. Many of you maybe have never seen or heard about those brands and stuff. But they are GOOD!!!! Then I had 2 hr driving lesson and got home at 6pm exhausted. Anyways....

As I promised yesterday, here's Mother's day project. I was inspired by another stationery box I saw online and made me one too. LoL.
The set includes 5 cards and envelopes and the box which mimics an envelope. On the picture you can't see well (that's why I added the picture on the bottom of this post) but the left and right sides overlap and then the center comes up. As well there is a pen holder on the closure inside. As well the box has a devider to divide the envelopes and cards, or whatever else you would like to put inside (address book, etc). The size of the completed project is 6"x5"x1 1/2".

You can pre-order the template and instructions (with lots of pictures) now and it will be emailed to you on Thursday April 29th. I am rushing this one a little bit, due to Mother's day being around the corner. Usually it takes a week to put everything together and do the finishing touches on the templates.
The price is $5.95. When you pre-order the link you will get from fastwagon will be just a jpg file (picture) since this is pre-order. I will email all the pre-orders manually on Thursday.
