Season of Simple Grace

In just a few hours the Holliday Mini catalog from Stampin' Up! will go alive. Here is a card which is CASE-d from it, pretty much 100% (mine came up little smaller), and I used the sentiment from " Snow swirled". I used the new stamp set from the mini called "Season of Simple Grace". This as well is going to be one of the Christmas Cards design for our family, at least for Sean's side of the family.
The size of one panel of the card is 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", and the card uses three panels.

SUPPLIES:
stamp sets: Seasons of simple grace, snow swirled
ink: chocolate chip, versamark and certainly celery
paper: holiday treasures dsp, bordering blue, certainly celery, ruby red, vert vanilla and chocolate chip
other: slot punch, chocolate chip taffeta ribbon, photo corner punch, iridiscent embossing powder, dimensionals,scor-pal

Spiral Pop-Out Card

I made this card for ATS challenge, I wanted to make this kinda card for a while now, so I think that was the little push I needed. I wanted to use butterflies, but my "FLight of a butterfly" won't bearriving before Friday. I used the Beah Hugs stamp set from CC Designs, which I got a while ago and just got around using it. The base of the card is 5"x10" of more mustard cardstock, scored and folded in half. The front part is then layered with bashful blue, certainly celery and designers paper I got from Michael's. The Image is stamped on basic white from Papertrey, colored with copics and layered on certainly celery and more mustard cardstock. And the inside is layered with bashful blue and designers paper on both sides. I made the spiral from vellum cardstock, the bees are stamped and colored with copics and then cut out. I added Crystal Icestickel on all the bee's wings.
Besides that I used prima flowers , very vanilla taffeta ribbon and very vanilla hardware.

Rose is a Rose

Happy Monday everyone!
I can't believe how fast the weekend went by...just amazing, and it's Monday again. I am done with classes for today, and I am off tomorrow, which is very good thing, so I can sleep in tomorrow :D
Anyway, here is a card I started making on Thursday and finished it yesterday. I used the set Rose is a Rose. I stamped all the parts in pink pirouette, riding hood red, kiwi kiss and old olive, and cut them out, then I adhered it to the top note die cut in whisper white with dimensionals. As well I used riding hood red taffeta ribbon and Bella Rose designers paper. I used two way glue pen to add glittet to the darker parts (the step 2) of the flowers and leaves. I was planning to add Dazzling Diamonds, but I was too lazy to look for it since it wasn't on my desk, so I used crystal fine glitter from MS.

Upsy Daisy Thank you

Yesterday was such a looong day, we left at 7.40am for the wedding, which was about 1hr away, and it was all finished by about 5pm (all taking pictures and other stuff) and then we went on a date with friends, and got home at about 11pm. Anyways....if you scroll down you will see the wedding favors , those are the favors I was working on them for couple months, so you can see them in finished version :) as well the gift I received from the bride and groom, I made the tops of all the gift boxes, but I had no idea one was for me LOL.... Oh yeah, except being a hostess, at the rehersal I was stand-in-bride. It was funny. I guess I was the one with most practice, lol, taking in consideration that Sean and I had three weddings (ours) LoL....long story which I will save for another occassion.
Anyways...here is a card I made using Upsy Daisy and Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp sets, as well the Siizzix Top Note die. As accessories I used Tangerine Tango striped ribbon and cowboy dew drops (not SU). The color combination is : whisper white, tangerine tango, old olive and chocolate chip. I like fall colors :)

Take a Break

Oh yeah, I really NEED a break. Today is a crazy day of its own. I was at work from 7am , and then classes, now I am getting ready to go to a wedding rehersal, and then rehersal dinner, and tomorrow we need to leave at 7.40am for the wedding....CRAZINESS!!! And not to mention that I didn't really sleep last night. I had a freaky dream, which disturbed me in a sense. As I mentioned in my previous post, my grandmother passed away 2 days before we arrived in Macedonia, so in my dream I was in her room, and she was sitting in her chair, but it was just her spirit, kind of the body, but transparent....and she told me she was going to die soon, and I told her to not die, and before that we talked how she is, how am I etc... so I woke up pretty disturbed. Anyway, to not freak you out more. Here is the card I have for today to share, again is with purple..LoL...I used the new SU background stamp Bella Toile and MFT stamp " Take a Break", I used retired Soft SKy cardstock, and shimmery light purple (not SU), as well Papertrey white and perfect plum (SU), I cut out and layered the image. COlored it with copics and added effects with crystal effects and lavander stickles. I added very vanilla taffeta ribbon and stickles.
Enjoy!

Baby It's Cold Outside

Before I go into today's card I just wanted to post the edited version of the yesterday's card, everything was kind of white and floating, so I decided to add some ground and background (sky), I used B000 and 0 copic for the sky, and E35, E37 and E57 and 0 for the ground, as well I added some blender solution to the pants of the scarecrow so they look more old :) Its kind of funny, but I started using more purple in my cards, purple hasn't really been my color the past several years, I remember in primary and early High School it was my favorite color. LOL, then blue became my favorite color (and still is). I think after making 150 favors with elegant eggplant and pale plum, purple got kinda attached to me...LoL....SO here is a purple winter card :) I used the set from MFT Baby it's Cold Outside, and colored it with copics, I added the little fuzzy looking color to the scarf and boots with copics and paper towel, I added some dazzing diamonds glitter and as well Crystal Effects (the the buttons and nose of the snowman). I stamed the snowflakes on the background layer with versamark and embossed with irediscent embossing powder, and the one on the perfect plum were stamped with perfect plum ink. And on the end I added ribbon (I think it was Martha Stewards which I got in Michael's on clearance for 0.99)

The Cutes Scarecrow

I love this new Holiday Mini Stamp Set, actually I love 90% of the holiday mini stamp sets. LoL. So I preordered pretty much all of them.
This set is called "Happy Blessings" and it has the cutest scarecrow I have ever seen. So I just had to use it :) I masked the image to stamps the background image and one of the pumpkins ,and then colored it with copics. The colors used are pumpkin pie, more mustard, old olive, whisper white and so saffron. As well I used 1 1/2 and 1 3/8" circle punch and circle scallop punch, and stripped pumpkin pie ribbon. On the pumpkin piece on the background I stamped pumpkins with versamark, and all layers and punchouts are sponged on the edges.
Ok I think it's time for nap, I have been at work from 7am (don't ask me what time I had to get up) and then had classes from 11am until 4pm, so I am pretty beat up. Check back tomorrow for more projects :)

Just Because Organic Grace

Here is a card I made today, I had this idea in my mind for a while now, to use an dried flower.
When I was in Macedonia my aunt gave me a box full of dried flowers, that she started pressing in the spring for me. So you may see often use of dried flowers in my cards. I thought this flower matches well the stamp from Hostess level 1 set Organic Outlines. The card didn't turn out exactly as I imagined, but it's close enough and I like it :)
Scroll down for the supplies used.
Stamps: Best Yet, Organic Grace (SU! Level 1 Hostess sets)
ink: whisper white craft and mellow moss
cs: mellow moss, naturals ivory and pale plum
other: dew drops, very vanilla taffeta ribbon, dried flower, oval punch, dimensionals

I am finally back

Oh my gosh, it has been so crazy since I got back from Macedonia last Wednesday Night.
It's so good to be home, the trip was sad, good, funny and so on. The moment we arrived at Sofia Airport in Bulgaria, I found out that my grandmother passed away 2 days earlier. :-( which didn't really give a good start to the vacation. Other than that things were good, besides all the cigarette smoke which drove me nuts. We had a lots of good food, I mean meat, and ice cream LoL. The weather was good, actually it was very hot, about 100F each day, though it wasn't humid like here, so it was good. For some reason the two weeks we were there flew by in a min, and as soon as we knew it was time to come back home and back to real life and everyday obligations. On Sunday the Arts Festival finished, and it went pretty well. Now I have one more thing to finish (wedding favors), and then I can relax and create for myself, and I think I am going to take a break till the beginning of next year from contests, shows etc. Oh yeah, and school starts on Monday, yikes.
You can scroll down to see more pictures from Macedonia, and here is a two layout scrapbook page I made on SUnday evening, I used the new dsp from the holiday mini (available only for demo pre-order until October 1st) Autumn vine, and the stamp set Kindred Spirits, as well I used Flower fusion and FLower fussion too, vintage brads, orange duo beads, and embossing powder. The cardstock I used is : really rust, pumpkin pie and chocolate chip. I used pumpkin pie narrow grosgrain ribbon as well.

Remember our soldiers

Today in Macedonia is Independence day, I remember in the early 90s when Macedonia parted from Yugoslavia, as well many other republics and we (well not me personally as I wasn't 18 yet), voted if we want Macedonia to be independent country apart from Yugoslavia. And the YES votes won. ANyway today is our last day in Macedonia if everything goes according to the plan (as this is scheduled post) and tomorrow early and bright we are leaving for Bulgaria from where we have our flight on Wednesday to Frankfurt, Germany and from there to Philadelphia.
Anyways, onto the card. This one is made by Laura whos husband is in the military. It looks so manly, comparing to the card you have seen on this blog before :)

Hedgehog CD holder

This is the last but not the least project we made at Diva Night over Claire's
We used fast and fun (?) notes (I think that was the name of the set) to make this cd holder , as well textured riding hood red cs, and bella rose dsp. Very simple and cute.
Have I told you before: I love hedgehogs!
There is little mark on the image, as I didn't noticed that I have kiwi kiss ink on my finger and I touched the image. :( Oh well ...

And some more

pictures from Mk from yesterday and today. Yesterday my mom sent us to the open market to pick up few things and we had fun, though it was hot outside. Today I got my hair done, there is a pic down. I did some highlights in 3 shades, and got haircut, though the lady cut my hair more than I wanted, oh well. This afternoon my mom took us to lunch (we had pizza) and then she took us shopping. Gotta love mom.And on the end she took us to get some ice-cream, best in the city in my opinion. And on the end there is a little car ,mini moriss ,we saw on our way back to the condo.
